Thanks Latin! Sure would have been nice if they had included one little snippet of the orchestral music to whet our appetites.

For whatever emotional/psychological reason, I would perfer seeing this type of event, or music performed by non-Prince related artist (loved the Mint Condition meledy I saw on you tube), then I would seeing NPG, the Revolution or one of those fake Prince impersonators. I guess I'm just not interested in seeing NPG or the Revolution without Prince; the idea just makes me sad (yep, still).

I hope people boycott this vile exploitation of Prince's legacy.

It's crude and nasty and just not needed.

Someone bought me tickets for my birthday, so I am going to the KC one in October. I will do a full write up and let you all know what I thought/felt about it. No holds barred, so Questove & his team better have their game on!!

Good morning children...take a look out your window, the world is falling...

I'm going to the Atlanta show Sept. 15. I'll be honest in my review. I have high hopes that there will be a great visual show that the estate will have as part of the musical part of the show. To have some of the footage of when P was performing on the road or at PP would be worth the event to me.

Looks like all the dates are for East Coast to middle of the country stops with no West coast stops. Are they waiting to see how well tickets sell before adding the West coast?

You don't think having a full orchestra play Prince music sounds a bit interestsing? I know that is ultimately about making money, but I also think in addition to his regular following; that maybe it will spark the interest of the orchestra crowd and just expand his legacy and sphere of influence. I am really intrigued with how they will intrepret some of his songs. Would you be willing to elaborate a bit about why you see this as an exploitation of his legacy? You don't think it would appreciate the public supporting "real musicians" ?

This is the first time I've heard a symphony described as "crude and nasty". I want to see it even more now.

I’m going October 11th in Milwaukee & got 3rd row seats. Can’t wait 💜
Mozart, Bach, Beethoven ... fittingly, Prince’s music is being recognized among symphony’s greatest & being performed by real musicians who are being paid for their work and level of skill. Thank you, Questlove.

Maybe if it comes to NOLA, you can come here. This weekend I'm going to Purple Reign @ Hard Rock in Biloxi. They have been lauded the 'best tribute band'...out of ALL tribute bands and were around before Prince passed, so I'm assuming he was ok with them(?) - wearing my 'Prince boots' too! wink

Those boots you have are pretty sexy, that lead singer of the tribute band will be eyeing those. lol
