Prince made some great music videos but there were also some that were not that good. Personally my least favourite is Paisley Park. It just seems 2 be random kids and adults hanging around a park. It's not very imaginitive or interesting 2 watch. It would have been better if Prince and The Revolution were in it.

it's odd but true that one of the most visually attentive artists of his era made almost all his videos in a ramshackle, haphazard way. Never did really matter to me, all i really cared about was the song. But, I do think a couple of his vids really are bad, sott, don't know who's idea that was, probably not even Prince's, My name is Prince, only because the song is one of the weakest he ever did, not because of the vid itself, they say alphabet st. was shot without a lot of care but it's never struck me as all that bad. Most of his vids were pretty raw. Ironically, his later vids seemed to be more professional and thought out.

Someone said they thought Glam Slam was the worst? I love that video...I am not the biggest fan of the song itself but seeing him perform it on the Lovesexy stage elevates it. I had a new respect for that song when I finally saw the video years later.

I think Paisley Park annoys me because there's a decent idea there but it all feels half-assed and since no band members are in it people just kind of ignore it.

It's real hard to not like a video that has Prince in it because hell, even if you don't like song, you can mute the volume and still enjoy the video. That's just FACT! So needless to say, but I will anyway, my least favorite Prince music videos are the ones his happy ass was not in.

I agree on Paisley Park is bad, because it has no Prince content, (appearance)


SOTT the song, this has no appearance - still amazing because of those strong messages / lyrics..

"Come On"? Great song... bad video.

I was actually most disappointed (as in the ratio of my liking of the video is most different to how much I liked the song and how popular the song was) by "Get Off". That was a high profile opportunity.

I think his outfit and the general art direction and feel of that video is weak compared to the texture and mood of the song. They made that shit quickly onstage with no discipline of taste or style. They at least could have gone on location to some crazy building to film it. At least.

The yellow/orange carpet of the single packaging design should have been a cue to the right direction...

Chocolate Box, New Power Generation (escpecially because of the spoken movie segments mixed in the video)

I think the whole point was that a woman does not have to be physically beautiful to be beautiful. The song is great, his last real hit, either 1 or 2. us fans probably have a million we like better but they probably wouldv'e done no better on the charts.
