I'll Do Anything demos should be released as an album. I think there was a lot of potential with those songs--There is Lonely, LIttle Pill, Empty Room and I can't love you anymore are all wonderful little songs that apparently got ruined by having non-singers butcher them in the movie. Empty Room was written earlier--I know. But apparently, they wanted to put that song on the soundtrack as well. I know the first two mentioned are in the Vault album but it would be nice to see them packaged together conceptually with the other songs and backstory. Some songs are better than others. (I am not as big on Be My Mirror and Don't talk to strangers). But I am quite fond of THere is Lonely, Empty room, My little PIll, and I can't love you anymore. I"ll Do anything (the song) would probably be quite good if there were a more cleaned up version (what I heard on line seemed to have the potential to be a fun song.)

They’re ok, but that would absolutely get destroyed the media. How would they even promote an album not even good enough to be a film soundtrack. Besides My little pill...really?!?

I actually thought "I'll Do Anything" (along with Empty Room re-work) was the gem from these sessions.

It would be way down the list for me. Way down.

I already have it in fair quality and it's an interesting curiosity at best. Would be very low on my list. Unheard, unknown material please. I like it when Prince Vault has to update their site

...and if they do that...everybody will start complaining, that they already got it....
but i'll buy it regardless...

It wouldn't be much of an event right now as 5 tracks out of 11 were later released (4 of them as such). . I think there is a market for those "work in progress" records that later evolved (earlier configurations of albums) or that were abandoned with various songs finding their way into later projects, because fans want them and will buy them, but I fear such releases would have to be digital only and belong on an online store. . When orgers repeatedly ask for a July 18 configuration of Dream Factory released on CD with an extensive booklet and liner note, they forget that the press release would sound like that: "Er... OK, so the Estate in honored to release the historic 18 tracks album Dream Factory and, er... OK, so 2 tracks are actually interludes, 8 tracks ended-up on Sign "O" The Times, 4 tracks were later released on Crystal Ball, and one was released by Mavis Staples in '89, but fear not, noble soul: Dream Factory contains THREE, yes, you heard us, three totally unreleased songs that, of course, have been bootleged for over 20 years but, hey, who cares? Available on a deluxe package with a dozen unseen pictures and liner notes by The Revolution that we promise will not be a rehash of their 100's of interviews. Come and get it, it's only 20 bucks!" I mean... I'm telling it to you right here: it's not gonna work . Now, put on a nice online store and offer the fans to purchase all that stuff for a nice bargain, and we can talk.
