Where did you find this photo?

It's from Graffiti Bridge. His letter to his movie dad who "took the easy way out" (as in suicide). The theme that already showed up in Purple Rain.

Well? This is what I want to know. Is it in fact contextual to PR? And if so, how? How is it that things didn’t work out as P had hoped? I think it’s relevent to ask, and if anyone knows more, which I doubt we really do, I say let that man or woman speak.

Of course it's a prop and not an actual letter, but why make suicide a theme in the movie. Oh.. I forgot. Nothing Prince did was deep (apart from the cases were he stole the ideas of those profound thinkers in the Rev). Prince could play a little guitar. That's about it.

Of course you're right. That's why the Revolution couldn't do anything, apart or together, at a level that people actually cared, until after Prince died. That's OK, though. They waited 32 years. They still have some time left. I'm sure they have 32 years of "profound ideas" to work with, eh? Oh no, wait, they're just doing Prince songs now...
