I've wondered this for years, but have always felt too lame to ask.

Was there a time when you could find raspberry berets in second hand stores? Was it an early 80s thing? A Minneapolis thing?

From Prince's lyrics, it sounds like finding them was a common occurence, but I am a lifelong second-hand shopper, and I have never seen a one.

My daughter actually did find one in a second-hand store. It was in the last year or so. My wife didn't let her buy it.
