I have made tons of homemade CDs, stuff for myself, and for other people - I think it is my duty as a music lover to share the music that I love - regardless of whether the artist profits from it or not - that is not my concern.

I've made compilation CDs for myself in the past, but I havn't sold anything.

PS, This is a nice site with a great staff so please refrain from posting "Pay no attention to moderators" in the future.

not since i was a teen. i enjoy the music more if i know the srtist benefits from my listening.

but, i'm about to look for a boot of the 'madhouse' CD. everyone always talking about it and P won't give it up on his site. . . .

I have downloaded a bunch of stuff, about 75 or so songs. I have burned about 3 CDS of songs, because despite what I hear on the org, a lot of it is not any good. Which is probably why Prince didn't release it in the first place.

Only my psychiatrist knows for sure... not my priest, he kept touching me in my swimsuit area...

I make bootlegs out of existing bootlegs.

As an example, and strictly for the uninitiated, I whittled down Sabotage's daunting 'Purple Rush' 22 CD set of mostly Purple Rain-era rehearsals, down to an infinitely more digestible 6 CD set, getting rid of all the dross in the process.
I then got down to remastering the really essential takes (i.e. the 'Piano Sessions', which include the earliest piano renditions of 'Wonderful Ass' and 'Purple Music', as well as Prince's lengthy rehearsal versions of 'The Bird', 'White Girls', 'Our Destiny/Roadhouse Garden' , 'Noon Rendezvous', '"The Family" sessions', 'A Love Bizarre' and 'When Doves Scream', amongst others).

Pure alchemy.

Plus, I made an unbeatable double CD set of 'Live Duets'(with the likes of Bono, Santana, Lenny, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, etc) which has made staunch fans out of former Prince haters. Nuff 'said!.
