Thoughts on the song "Make Your Mama Happy"

I don't think I've ever seen this song discussed on the org.

Personally I dig it for what it is, a blatant Sly pastiche.

Thoughts?

Good topic.

It's noisy, for sure. I never considered the Sly association for whatever reason, but you're spot on with it, obviously. I like Sly, of course, but I never paid much attention to "Make Your Mama Happy". I shall go take a fresh listen.

Love this song. My wife heard this for the first time a few years ago & fell in love with it. She's a middle school teacher & she played it for her classes & they loved it as well.

I make my mom mixed cds from time to time & included this gem in there once & she adored it.
