I love this phase of his songwriting, it was without a doubt my favorite, or at least that's the stage of music he was writing when I really discovered him (Dirty Mind/Controversy). He was dirty and raw and taking his first steps away from R&B. Everything changed after that night he took E with Ingrid Chavez -- he lost that part of him for a long time.
I would also include Wet Dream, Drive Me Wild, Make Up, and Bite The Beat if we're including demos Vanity 6 used as studio guides. Why is it so difficult to upload an avatar? | |
