nothing from 20Ten or Mplsound? I'm sure it is something about the linn drum (otherwise Broken might fit in as well)

Okay, I'm really curious to know what the common thread is here

Bingo. I had a fleeting thought to include something from 'Controversy' but it "fleeted". [Edited 7/9/17 22:47pm]

I'd argue that Do it All Night and Gotta Stop Messin About don't really have any rockabilly in them, they're more a blend of funk and jerky new wave, kinda like the Devo-ish stuff Andre Cymone was doing on his first album.

Do It All Night doesnt fit...its not rockabilly

Yeah, some of these songs are way more more new wave than rockabilly. At first I was thinking maybe they all shared the same kind of weird, squiggly synth tone (Gotta Stop, Horny Toad, Delirious) but that theory went out the window real quick.

Not at the heart of them. Take away the synths etc and get to the essence of the song with guitar etc and the rock-a-billy Elvis type shit is exposed "Climb in my fur."

Still not hearing it. I might not be a rockabilly connoisseur, but I think there's a difference between just straight pop-rock songs and rockabilly. Kiss started out as a bluesy acoustic demo, doesn't mean that the finished version is a blues song.

If you don't hear rockabilly in Delirious and Horny Toad then you need to actually go and listen to some rockabilly. [Edited 7/10/17 17:45pm]

Those are indisputably inspired by rockabilly, I don't think anyone has said otherwise. But there are definitely songs on that above list that DON'T have that feel. Where did the OP run off to, they need to come back and give us an answer to this
