I don't actually remember the first time I saw Prince, I was aware of him but didn't take much notice until Kiss.

Parade was the first tape (showing my age, haha) I bought and went out and bought his back catalogue.

First saw him live in Birmingham, UK in 1988 and taped the live concert from Dortmund a few weeks later. That tape was my pride and joy for a long time until one of my sisters taped over it.

The first time I saw Prince was in that Documentary "Dr. Prince and Mr. Jackson." It was in 2009 when MJ died, I was a big fan of MJ (still am tho), and two months later this documentary was on TV. Me and my sister watched it together and I was in awe at Prince's talent. You know, before him, I really loved Slash from GnR. But when I first saw Prince making his guitar cry, it was a whole new level.

I've not seen that, will have a look for it.

I watched a doc about MJ last year, think it was called Life of an Icon and made by David Guest which I thought it was very good. It went right through from him being a child up until his death.

You've probably seen it but check it out if you haven't.

Cool, sound like u became a fan late.

So My mom was a big Prince fan growing up, but as a kid OF COURSE my mom didnt have taste (Sarcasm she has great taste) but I became aware of him fully in I think 99 or 2000 when he was in face with this.....

.......I remember clowing the fuck out fo him and then I fell in love. I also remember calling MJ a copy cat because later my cousin was like "What the hell is with them and this outfit!"
