Important info about alcohol at Paisley Park

There's a lot of talk again about contacting Chanhassen City, because people wrongly believe that Prince did not allow alcohol at Paisley Park.

Please share this link with those "feely" people. Their hearts are in the right place but they don't have the right information.

Here is the announcement for Mixed Blood Theater's fundraising gala (which P approved in 2015 and would have been held on May 14th, 2016). Please share it as needed.

QUOTE: "The evening is to feature cocktails, wine and beer, plus a "sampling of fresh and modern fare at the many food stations."

why not allow smoking and wild meat roasts too!

Paisley is getting raped...alcohol drinkers will end up vandalizing and stealing...respect is not as important as greed

It's not easy to get a alcohol permit and there is liability. It's just a one time thing, so I guess it's not a big deal, really.

If y'all think Prince never drank, you're drunk. He mentioned his love of port in "The Holy River". On April 21, 1996, he was in the E.R. with heart palpitations from eating near nothing, and drinking a lot of wine. Ol' boy loved a drank as much as anyone. Don't believe the hype. Most of Prince's mystique was just that - a mystique. Not reality.

On one of Funkenberry’s podcasts Adrian Crutchfield told a story about him and a few other NPG Hornz players sneaking alcohol in to Paisley because Prince didn’t allow it. My guess is alcohol probably wasn’t that free flowing at Paisley at least not after the 90s. But I’m not worried about these possible events because they’ll be corporate events probably offering wine or champagne but no hard liquor. Corporate events aren’t usually drunken rowdy affairs.

Prince probably did not want the liability either. I can't blame him.
