I always wished for an acoustic version of WHEN DOVES CRY - I kind of love the barenaked ladies version of it.... i thought this song was massacred during Lovesexy/SOTT...and for whatever reason.. even though I think it is the best song ever written.. it never translated for me live.

He played it at the pre-show soundcheck in Houston, TX in 2002. I was there. He asked for audience members to come sing it. I didn't know the words, dang it! But another guy did and he was excellent. Prince played the song by himself, on the Hohner.
