Cool versions of Strange Relationship (live)?

Anyone can help me on the way? I love the teaser version from the ONA DVD but would like to have a full version, or other interesting takes during his career. Although I don't believe it was on his setlists a lot?

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

It's gonna be hard to find better than the 1987 warm-up for the SOTT Tour at 1st Avenue,
infamously known as "4 Those Of U On Valium". Those Hammond stabs!
Oh-whee-oh, oh-oh...

Then there's the 1988 Dortmund piano medley, but it's a medley (doh).
The one from "One Night Alone... Live!" is great.

I'm sure the hardcore ones are gonna come up with some more obscure renditions, possibly more interesting.

The one from the soundboard SOTT rehearsals is worth mentioning,
even though it lacks the little extra (the audience induced adrenalyn, probably) the 1st Avenue performance has.
While it's not technically live, it's still a live take. The vocal perf is great,
and it references the verses of "Superfunkycalifragisexy" months before the (non) release of the Black Album.
There were nods during the whole SOTT tour, the movie credits,
but these are probably among the very first quotes of it, so it's also interesting from a historical point of view.

A very cool version is also the 1988 Hamburg aftershow. I have this thing for audience recordings.
When the atmosphere is as palpable, they're often better than the soundboards, which tend to feel too clinical.
The 1987 Munich aftershow (soundboard), not so much, it does not quite bounce like SR should.

Worth of interest is also the version from the now legendary 1985 Miami Orange Bowl soundboard soundcheck.
It's so attached to SOTT in my mind that it always baffles me to think the song was written as early as 1983.

THIS. The way it just sorta starts stomping along, then slowly builds is pure genius.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

This is probably my favourite live version....'bet you wish this was a fuckin movie', reciting bits of Dead On It as well as Superfunkycalifragisexy, and throwing in Cold Sweat horn lines and chicken grease. I'm putting it on now..

I really like the solo version he did at one of the Mohegan Sun shows in 2013.

Second, or third, the version from 4 Those of U on Valium. That said, to me the "cooler" version is the three minute piano version from '83. It's not fleshed out, not even close to being complete, but I could listen to P's rehearsals all day freakin' long.

Totally agree with the "4 Those of U on Valium" suggestion. Actually, that version was released officially via NPGMC so we get to hear it in great quality -- except "...MF'in movie" is edited out.

Lots of suggestions, thanks folks! Now I know what to aim for. Although finding 4 Those Of U On Valium as a download or even Youtube video has not been a straightforward operation until now. Will try some other search engines as well!

I just found Prince - Park Café Munich West Germany 21st May 1987, full show. Will listen to this version of SR soon but the boot starts with a set by Madhouse which I am now thoroughly enjoying!

See if you can find a recording of the second night in the Melkweg, 2011. Great versions not only of Strange Relationship, but also of other classics like The Ballad of Dorothy Parker, Mutiny etc...

Is that the one with the extra long funky intro, which kind of reminds me of the intro to Sly's "Thank You For Talking To Me Africa"?

Still didn't have any luck with the 4 Those Of You On Valium though. This one is hard to find, even as a stream or video, let alone a download.
