My 5 year old and 3 year old love Starfish and Coffee but thats it for Prince songs so far... any recommendations of P tracks that little kids are likely to love?

My kids thought "Wedding Feast" was the greatest song ever written. I must have heard it 500 times before they grew out of it but to this day, we all laugh and sing along with it when I play it in the car.

When it was 1986 I was 4 and loved Manic Monday for the music.
Only after Prince passed did I learn he wrote that.
I still feel close to him because so much of his energy is present in his children the music.

My 9 and 12 year old kids love "Love", "1999", "Delirious", "3121", "Black Sweat" (slightly inappropriate), "Let's Go Crazy", "Something in the Water".."when doves cry", "Get on the boat", "Musicology", "Take me with you", "Free", "Kiss" and "All the Critics Love you in NEw York". My daughter loves Girls and BOys (my son hates it) and neither one of them seem opposed to any of the songs on Musicology.I have to censor much of the rest of it.

My almost seven-year-old right now can't get enough of Lovesexy. Wants to listen to the whole album in the car.

My ex used to hum the melody of Curious Child to our daughter when she was infant and crying, to calm her down.

'Until u're in my arms again' i just had a thought few days ago, if you put this song on some soundtrack for Disney movie, no one would notice nothing unusual ... imagine Aladdin yearning for pricness Jasmine while singing this song. Someone would say that song is so camp & saccarine, but they don't no....

My kids are older but that's the one Prince song that they both love and will sing along to.

*

My older one liked "Song For You" back when Happy Feet was current but has probably forgotten about that one.

*

My youngest used to love "Batdance" back when he was going through his Michael Keaton/Val Kilmer Batman phase as a youngster.

*

Thanks to this message board, I now know the meaning of "Alphabet Street" but I'm sure that it'll go completely over their heads like it did mine. Maybe I'll test that song on 'em during the holidays.
