Let's keep in mind that even with the ondanestron, there was no prescription for it. Let's think about that for a second. Zofran is not in the least bit a popular drug on the street that dealers are distributing. If you don't have a prescription for that, you either have access to a pill mill (domestic or foreign), or, have someone on the inside to get it for you ( as in a doctor or pharmacist).

my uncle recently passed away due to pancreatic cancer. The colour purple is used by campaigners and charities to raise awareness. In the UK this week/weekend is “stand up to cancer”. Everyone is raising awareness.

Pancreatic cancer in the head of the pancreas tends to cause symptoms such as weight loss, jaundice (yellow skin), dark urine, light stool color, itching, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, back pain, and enlarged lymph nodes in the neck.
This possibility cannot be overuled, imo. Although I'm thinking it might have been a combination of both factors (drug abuse and ilness). If Prince found out he had pancreatic cancer 3 years ago that would be 2014. He was kinda bloated around this time, so perhaps he did some chemo treatment. Then we got AOA. Being told he had cancer might have made him start thinking about "tidying up his place", as many people take this terrible diagnosis as a death sentence. He might have been battling it right up until his death. Maybe the cancer later spread or came back in full force, hence the jaundice, weight loss, vomiting, the chefs' account of him not being able to keep food down, cancelling of shows, calling old friends, reminishing during P&M, etc. He was wearing gloves and turtle necks indoors. His frailty in 2016 is undeniable. He probably had managed to deal with his pain med increasing dependency for long, but that combined with some physical ilness proved to be a letal combination. Well, I didn't find any alarming or compelling reports to support that in the U.S., (specifically the Midwest) there was/is a groundswell of "watson 853" counterfeit pills laced with toxic levels of Fentanyl that were/is the cause of mass overdose.

He was around people, but he didn’t have anyone “to come home to.” He didn’t have his own family. I don’t even have a clear idea of how close he was to his siblings or neices and nephews. Overview and summary of pills found:
Opioid Overdose Death: Death ReportingThe manner of death, based on the investigation of the circumstances by a coroner or state medical examiner, is determined to be:
Circumstances included in the cause of death investigation are:
In an opioid overdose death, scene findings may include:
Opioid overdose death resulting from a prescription opioid is usually classified as an accidental or undetermined death. Often there is an assumption that when the death involves prescription medications prescribed to the person who died, that this person was using the prescription medications appropriately, as prescribed, and without risk for overdose. With prescription pain pills, it is difficult to determine if the pills were used as prescribed by the decedent, obtained from family or friends for a pain-related reason, or bought with an intent to get high. If a person dies of a natural cause, for example a heart attack or infectious disease, that death would be categorized as natural, even if prescription opioids are found at the scene or prescribed in the patient’s history. This may contribute to an under-reporting of opioid-related deaths. Challenging consderations for medical examiners and coroners. Determining burden of proof
To determine burden of proof, the general guidelines in coroner and state medical examiner’s training state there needs to be:
Although I am not finished with the facts of the warrants, I am finding it increasingly difficult to connect Prince to a drug addict who just wanted to score drugs to get high. The evidence so far, does not support that. This theory is based solely on the basis of the type of pills that were found at his house, coupled with the environmental changes that were taking place nationally and regionally in reference to overdoses. have you given any thought to why people (i.e. his family, close associates) would rather the cause of death be linked to a drug problem than cancer?

So your hypothesis is that not only knew that the pill which was labeled hydrocodone was in fact not hydrocodone and that he also knew it was laced with enough fentanyl to take his own life?

Why take the bootleg? Why give everyone the night off and turn off the cameras? Roughly the same concoction that killed him used as the death penalty drug in Nevada. Giving away high sums of money, making a amends to people, doing a tour where he talks about the past, and never being so high that it effective his work habits.

No, the anti nausea drug was written for him by Dr.S Under Kirk’s name to protect Prince’s privacy. Dr.S admitted he wrote 3 Rxs for Prince under an assumed name to protect his privacy and I am certain Prince was probably having this done the whole of his life.

Because he was a private person and they are respecting that. He also probably told very few people what was going at the time and he may have left instructions to keep the info quiet until a certain time. I do not think he planned to have an overdose on the plane and if he had not had it none of this speculation would have started in the first place.

Everytime people question the idea that P's family would want to hide a diease, my mind drifts not to cancer, but to AIDS. I still wonder to this day what celebrity that blind item was about.
It could also be they don't want folks to know that the drug addiction was long enough to cause liver problems.
Or it could be that P was a sufferer of pain and drug dependency.
