For starters:
VITAMIN D (Ergocalciferol...USP Units)

Hypoparathyroidism and rickets both of which can cause bone pain.

High doses of vitamin D are essential if you aren't getting sufficient sunlight (remember, Prince kept night-time hours, even going so far as to cover his windows with aluminium to avoid sunshine). A lack of vitamin D can have serious implications for bone health. It can lead to a softening of the bones and / or an increasing propensity to fractures / damage.
.

People who cover up their bodies for religious reasons are more likely to have rickets. You're also more prone to rickets if you have dark skin, because you require more sunshine to turn into vitamin D.
.

Some medications can also lead to depleted vitamin D levels - so too can liver disorders. Interestingly, one type of medication which can result in vitamin D deficiency is anti-seizure / epilepsy drugs. And we know P had suffered from epilepsy as he said as much in interviews...In fact, one theory posited for his collapse on the 'plane was a possible seizure.

Early on one the musicians said he was having seziures again. The genric form of Valium found in his system is often given to people who have seziures.

The search warrant states the doctor in Illinois treated P for an overdose and not a seizure.

Plus, if the yellow skin (jaundice) he seemed to be developing was indicative of a liver problem, this could also result in vitamin D deficiency - and bone pain. For all we know, he was stuck in a vicious cycle of pain, pain medications, side-effects, organ dysfunction, more medications / supplements to deal with side-effects, and round and round we go...
.
Seriously, it would be enough to make anyone think, 'enough'. Lord knows, I deal with patients EVERY SINGLE DAY who are stuck in this spiral - people who are intelligent, focused, hard-working - and trapped by their health.

It did indeed - but, with a lack of background detail, I guess there could be an argument for everything to be connected...We just don't know...

He could have had both. Taking too many meds can cause a seizure not to mention whatever issues he may have had with seizures to begin with. Leads me to think he had health issues and these pain pills made have made the stituation worst which can happen with many meds.

Example Cancer drugs can cure the cancer but cause a rack of other problems.

I take this exact pill. It was prescribed after a blood test showed I was "severely" lacking in vitamin D. Its a mega dose. I live in sunny southern California where we use a lot of sunscreen.

Paul - In 2008 I was diagnosed with a very small malignancy; I was seen by radiation oncologist who routinely checked Vitamin D levels on every patient that she saw.

Mine came back lower than she wanted and, since there are some studies that suggest that higher levels of Vit D help in the fight against cancer, I was given a rx for 50,000 units of Vitamin D...the same green capsule that was found at PP.

That particular dose cannot be purchased legally OTC, it requires a rx.

Hope that helps.

The questions for me during examination of the contents , were whether or not any of the pills that were found could produce the effect of fentanyl, and result in death. I also wanted to know whether such a pill was found in abundance.

That lead me to double back and take a hard look at the poison pill theory ( as in a single pill that was laced with levels of fentanyl that would produce toxicity).

Now, each of these pills have assigned "street names" that mirror the actual drug. This is important because it may run parallel to when the pills showed up on the streets with said names.

As I examine all of the pills that were taken into custody , I am starting to get a clearer picture of whether pain management was the goal , or was it to feed an addiction. The lines are heavily blurred but it's worth the research.

As an example, the pills that were found with the imprint "194" could be mistaken for acetaminophen and oxycodone hydrochloride 325mg/10mg(street percocet) if they were yellow in color. However, the pills taken into custody are green . The warrant will not explain the significance of that. What is so important about that? Well, that "green " pill was found in a Vitamin D bottle. That green pill with the imprint "194" is actually Vitamin D 50,000 USP units or (ergocalciferol 1.25 mg) This is not a controlled substance. It is supplied by Paddock Industries.

So why would you need 50,000 usp units of Vitamin D2 ? What is it for? Where would you buy that?

In summary, I can say that the more I research about the combination of pills , their specific chemical properties and usage , the more I realize how methodical and disciplined of a person it took to put it all together.

I hope not...but I've seen my far share of addicts in my lifetime and the way his body changed over the last few years of his life reminded me of something else. cry Whatever it was, he is at peace now.

In continuation of the pills that were found at Paisley Park and taken into custody:

"One (1) orange pill with the inscription #8".

1.This pill appears to be buprenorphine ( a scheduled III substance). It is pirmarily used to treat withdrawals from opiod addiction, but is also used to reduce pain and produce feelings of well being as it binds with the opioid receptors.

2. The brand name for buprenorphine is Subutex.

3. Suboxone is the commercial name for Buprenorphine when combined with Naloxone.

4. Andrew Kornfeld brought Buprenorphine with him for his scheduled visit with Prince on 4-20-16.

Though procured illegally, I think we can ascertain that on its own , or in interaction with the other substances, it is unlikely that this produced lethal toxicity.

Short Summary

So far, we have what appeaear to be the following: A substantial need to increas Vitamain D intake: Which may be the result of a host of issues , to include, but not limited to; dietary inadequacy, impaired absorption and use, increased requirement, limited sun light exposure, kidneys that cannot convert it , digestive tract is inadequate ,and the all of the other things that many of you (LR, Stlmuziqlvr,Dibblekins, Penny) mentioned previously.

I wanted to add that there is precedent and correlation for us to assume that inadequate Vitamin D levels is linked to the amount of narcotic medication for those with chronic pain who are ingesting opioids as they are seeking relief from certain cancer types.

Buprenorphine: A New Treatment Option for Opioid Addiction

Buprenorphine Safety, Adverse Reactions, and Drug Interactions

In continuation of the pills that were found at Paisley Park and taken into custody:

Ten(10) white pills with the inscription "A-349"

1.This pill seems to be identified with Acetaminophen and Oxycodone hydrochrloride 325 mg/5mg , and at times is commonly called, generic "Percocet". It produces the same action as other opioid medications that bind to opioid receptors.

2. It is widely used to alleviate moderate to severe pain, but is also increasingly used in the managemenat of cancer related and chronic pain.

3. Acetaminophen can play a vital role in Vitamin D deficiency , and both renal/ liver failure.

4.Kirk Johnson had Oxycodone prescribed to him by Dr. Schulenberg on 4-14-2016. This is not the same bottle. I am speculating that either Prince initially used it as a test pilot , or gained knowledge of its usage, and then procured his own after finding a form of relief from it.

Short Summary

So far , it seems that self administered control mechanisms were devised in order to manage some type of pain. There is less evidence that this was primarily driven by addiction.

Hi everyone. I mostly (obviously) lurk.
Thank you, Menes, not just for posting this, but also doing it so clearly and concisely.
It is even more confusing to me, after reading about the (non RX) buprenorphine pill at PP, that no one was with him the night before. It seems he was entering into some form of treatment the next day. That's a huge step.

In continuation of the pills that were found at Paisley Park and taken into custody:

CVS Pharmacy bottle containing Ondansetron HCL 8 mg.

1. Ondansetron is primaily used to prevent nausea and vomiting that is caused by cancer medicines (chemotherapy or radiation therapy). The brand name for this drug is Zofran. This drug should define the condition or state of the user more than any other drug that was taken from Paisley Park.

2. It works by blocking the action of serotonin, the signal on the brain that causes nausea and vomiting. There were many posters in numerous org. threads ( to include this one) who had already stated these findings. I have not found any other compelling reason for the use of this drug other than that which is clearly stated above. This is to include HIV and AIDS.

3. This drug can produce a variety of serious side effects to include , but not limited to; itching, rash, nervousness, anxiety, irregular heartbeats, etc.

4. Ths may explain a lot of the other prescribed drugs that were given to Prince by Dr. Schulenberg.

5. One prescription was writtend for Kirk Johnson by Dr. Schulenberg and is shown as, Oxycodone. However, the CVS Pharmacy bottle with the Ondansetron HCL 8mg, was in Kirk Johnson's name. The Midwest Monitoring Program does not list Kirk Johnson as receiving Ondansetron via a doctor's prescription. Unless Kirk had problems with nausea and vomiting too, I think you can understand what is happening here.

5. Since I don't believe Prince had surgery as current as when the pills were found, I believe he was either self medicating without the use of chemotherapy, or , receiving chemotherapy secretly. I lean to the former.

Short Summary

So far, it seems that self adminstered mechanisms were devised in order to manage some type of pain. There is less evidence that this is primarily driven by addiction.

In summary, I can say that the more I research about the combination of pills , their specific chemical properties and usage , the more I realize how methodical and disciplined of a person it took to put it all together.

Buprenorphine Safety, Adverse Reactions, and Drug Interactions

—The is interesting as this means he had the Suboxne already before Andrew came and I wondered on this board why he did not just get some to ween himself off which I now think he was trying to do. Perhaps withdrawing on an outpatient basis while dealing with other issues. It is the only thing that explains how he was able to get around.

—The is interesting as this means he had the Suboxne already before Andre came and I wondered on this board why he did not just get some to ween himself off which I know think he was trying to do. Perhaps withdrawing on an outpatient basis. It is the only thing that explains how he was able to get around.

I think the single orange pill described above, and confiscated from PP, was the one brought by Andrew. I seem to recall details about it (and the backpack) in the warrant, if Menes can confirm.

Hi Dibblekins,

I think the contents of the green back pack Andrew Kornfeld brought with him was processed separately.

I think that the pills he listed in the backpack ( numerous), are different from the abovementioned list of pills in the warrant ( although one of them may have the same name). Also, he had no time to meet or present anything to Prince. All of the pills remained in the backpack which was processed separately from what was found at Paisley Park. It may have been his intention to administer it to him, but I think that pill was already there.

You can see the contents of the backpack in the link below.
