You stated the autopsy showed no prior use of fentanyl. The link you gave isn't the autopsy report.

AP (8/21/2016): Official: Pills found at Prince's estate contained fentanyl
http://bigstory.ap.org/ar...d-fentanyl

-

Key points (all alleged from unnamed "officials")

  • Counterfeit prescription opioid pills were found at Paisley Park. Most were in bottles of aspirin and Vitamin C inside a suitcase and bags — including one Prince often carried with him.
  • Nearly two dozen pills in an Aleve bottle were falsely labeled "Watson 385." Acetaminophen/hydrocodone pills (e.g., Vicodin) used to legitimately carry that label, but at least one of the pills tested positive for fentanyl.
  • Some pills also contained lidocaine and U-47700 — a synthetic opioid that is eight times more powerful than morphine.
  • Some of these pills were with Prince on his April 15 flight
  • Prior to his death, Prince tested negative for fentanyl, which means he wasn't a long-time abuser of that drug, but likely took the fatal dose within the 24 hours before he died (author couldn’t verify when the “prior” drug test(s) occurred but referenced Dr. Shulenberg’s alleged April 20 and April 7 medical tests on Prince)
  • The autopsy report also shows Prince had diazepam (Valium), lidocaine and hydrocodone acids in his body
  • Prince had no prescription for any controlled substances in the state of Minnesota in the 12 months before he died

I've just read the "Doctor D" interview (Mail Online) where he claims he sold P fentanyl patches and Dilaudid pills from '84 to '08 (just before he appeard at the Coachella Festival). IF someone had been using those meds and in the quantities Doc D claims over that long a period, I'd have been surprised if P lived beyond the age of 35, nevermind 57 years. The side-effects are horrific. Someone may have been able to hide "using" but not the effects and certainly not on stage. P's timing was never off and he controlled his bands meticulously. I am still hung up on the huge amount of fentanyl found in his liver though. If the reports of "enough to kill an elephant within minutes" are true, his body would not have had time to process that amount into his liver.

can anyone explain to me that if a few grains can kill you, how is it used in various real life medical

situations. like for instance if your perscribed it , how big is the pill if a few grains can kill?? or does

the pill contain 1 grain and the rest is something else??

.

I believe it's only 3 grains or so is considered lethal. Prince had way more than that in his system.

The source which one of which was from the AP said no drugs were in his system from test done the day before. The ME would have been able to tell if he was a long term user of Fentenly. We would have to know the shape his organs were in to know if he was using these drugs for long periods of time.

Keeping Prince' s hours and getting things done with drugs are too different things. Even after Susan Rogers said she stayed up with him for hours and worked with him and never saw him use drugs. You still think he was a raving pill head for 40 years. eek

and Prince did sleep just not when others typically do. so we tend to think he went on little sleep, but

he was sleeping from 7am-1pm most likely. i feel like he did go hungry alot but i bet he was sleeping

he had to be there is no way he could age so gracefully without sleep. that is a misnomer he never

bothered to correct as it added to the lore.

According to two of his personal assistance his sleep hours were 6:00 am to noon. Meron said she would have as many as 100 e-mails from him up until 6:00 am. He was not to be distrubed doing his sleep hours. The former assistant said the same thing.

The idea that he never sleep is absurb just as the idea that someone can be wacked out on drugs for 20 or 30 years and work as well as he did. The streets are filled with alcoholics and drug addicts who do not know what world they are on and everyday people who coast at their jobs until they are fired.

Once again people need to stop projecting their issues and making up some drugged out life that Prince led that we have yet to see one shread of evidence of.

Makes no difference, it wouldn't have been corrected if nobody said anything. AND the AP still isn't the source that said the autopsy said he was not a long time fentanyl user. Go back and reread that link and the article you posted. So you are still spreading fake news.

Exactly!! The idea that Prince never slept is beyond crazy! The human body will cease to exist without proper rest and nutrition. The 6AM to 12Noon sleep time sounds about right for Prince.

.

In the case of MJ (since we are on topic of sleep); MJ was sleep-deprived; thus his need for Propofol--which does not make you fall into deep sleep REM-cylce, which the body needs. I'm just adding the fact that lack of sleep can be detrimental to one's health and even deadly. Not only that; not sleeping would give you all sorts of problems like eyesight as well as various cognitive deficiencies, such as speech and memory problems, and Prince did not seem to show any of those symptoms.

Yes it did, MJ was out of it on painkillers most of the 2000s. But in 1987 when he did this song, he was almost as pure as a mountain stream. It was before people accused this beautiful soul of shit he never did. Also Prince chose to give himself a lethal dose of a dangerous painkiller, Michael was murdered by his Doctor Feelgood who gave him a lethal dose of Propofol.

Hold the phone. I agree with what you said here, except the part about Prince; his death is still an open homicide investigation and his death was ruled "accidental". Please don't do this; there is enough fake news out there already as it is.

There are other things in a pill besides just the medicine that's in it. Inert ingredients or other medication such as acetaminophen. The counterfeit pills could have a host of various opiodes plus anything else the maker feels like putting in them.

[Edited 12/19/17 14:19pm]

This is directly from the search warrant executed on 4-21-2016 @ 14:34 pm. There is no mention of "bags" or that he had some of these pills with him April 15.

Maytes story clearly shows prince hid his addictions from her .. he likely choose very young people to surround him because they are easier to lie to manipulate and keep secrets from ... i know people who deal with their “demons” exactlybthe way prince did .. cut out your friends and find young naive people who don’t know they are being manipulated

She also said she never saw him use pills so some how he managed to hid a raging pill addiction from her. Think about how absurd that is. She lived in the same houses with him. No wife would not know for sure what was with her husband. She either did not really care, is lying or was popping pills herself.

Her stories make no sense. In the end she has told us nothing about drug addition at all.

You question Mayte's credibility about whether or not prince used painkillers/pills, but her position is the same as yours: that he wasn't a long-term or heavy user of pills and any use of painkillers/pills was incidental/occasional.

I don't believe the Mail's Doctor D interview. The Mail is a tabloid with very suspect credibility. Having said that, I have been doing research so that I can better understand how people can use Fentanyl if only a few grains of the solid can kill someone.

If anyone here thinks that daily mail article on that doctor, that came out in light speed after he passed, is real, think again. Come on folks use common sense, this doctor, nor any of the so called facts in that article, have any basis in reality. It was a hit piece designed to perpetuate a narrative, plain and simple. Why? We will likely never know.

He used to sleep from 6:00 to 9:00, good to know he put more emphasis on sleep as he got older.

I don't know about anyone else, but dealing with up to 100 emails a day would likely give anyone a headache.

The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

If you can add value to someone's life then why not. Especially if it colors their days...

But sleeping during the day isn't healthy at all. It can make you depressive and sick. I know what I'm talking about, I've been thru this.
