Hi... Don’t think that means anything, necessarily … it only means that when he was found he didn’t have a wig/fake hair on, but they did say he had on a cap/hat (IIRC). . You can’t list all the negatives… items he didn’t have on when found, only what he DID have on. So he could have been wearing one in public prior to that time, but was not on the morning found. I think it was his hair he sported mostly in the 80’s and 90’s Exceptions would be movies where he cut it but needed to do a reshoot for the movie. Later on in the beginning of the fro period I think he may have wore one For a bit until his own hair was long enough to pick out fro style. He probably Wore the small fro wig to allow his hair to transition out of the relaxer he wore. But it always looked like his hair to me.

BUT look at the end of the Judith Hill video when she pushes him out the door. That's a real hairline. A wig in that cap would have flown off. Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

If you disagree, prove it with a link to a legitimate source. . [Edited 11/5/17 13:59pm] Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

She didn't. She said that all he said was nice to meet you and he smiled. They all talked about 5 mins and they all moved on.

So you think the ME report saying his hair was black tells us if he was wearing a wig or not?
You realize that people even those that are balding or completly bald have hair on other parts of their body. The ME saying his hair was black does not mean he was not bald or balding. Their is a pic of Prince bending down at a soundcheck before he had the fro and you can see a bald spot in his hair. I will see if I can post the pic.
Unless he used some Rogain or had a hair transplant he is definitly balding in that pic. Balding does not stop it keeps going it would have made sense for him to wear a wig much easier to cover up a balding head.

I’ve seen a similar pic, but I thought he had a fro at the time, where the bald spot was visible. Looked like normal thinning. Maybe it was piano and mic footage. It looked like his hair to me tho.

The one I saw was before the "fro" his hair was short and straight he was bent over looking at some equitpment it was outside in the day and you could see his bald spot. It might have been right before he went into "fro" mode.

Sure he looked fine and he could have stuck a hat on his head and been good to go.

What !! a man of 57 years experiencing male pattern baldness? Impossible.

That was during a soundcheck in Belgium. I´d post that picture but my computer crashed and I lost that picture. It could still be a real fro though because his hair started looking much fuller after a comparatively long hiatus after that soundcheck. There were rumors of a hairtransplant back then. As far as I remember the video for Same December also showed a little bit of a bald spot and the newer version of that video had that bald spot darkened so that one could no longer see the bald spot. This being said, I personally don´t believe it was a wig. I think he had something done, much like some other celebrities who suddenly had a full head of hair after they had been photographed with a bald spot (think of Matthew Mc Conaughey and his mugshot and what he looks like today). Prince even hinted at getting a hairtransplant in Prettyman. If it wasn´t his real hair he wouldn´t have been able to have the hairdo he had in 1998/99. But you are right, I remember that picture with the thin looking hair. Keep in mind that even when you already have bald spots the roots are not really dead yet and hair can regrow if the bald spot is not older than ten years. I wouldn´t be surprised if it was indeed a wig but , like I said, I personally doubt it. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I don’t see any gray hair in his head in that pic. And I’m fine with bald, balding And thinning. [Edited 11/7/17 16:55pm]

Do you have a source on this? I don't believe he ever wore hair pieces for Graffiti Bridge. Kim Berry wasn't his hairstylist for that era either- she joined just about when he transitioned from the long graffiti bridge hair to the typhoon in early 1991.
Personally I don't think he ever wore wigs or hair pieces. His hair was naturally thick so when they added volume through back-combing etc during say, Graffiti Bridge era, his hair naturally looked very full.

Even so he has a lot of hair. Remember he is photographed with a blitz. The wooh is on the one!

Hairpieces have been mentioned in an article (or was it also part of an interview?) a very long time ago, during the years when he was with Mayté, but the article didn´t explicitly say whether it was him who used the hair extensions or Mayté. But it was worded in a way that left it a bit unclear. But they were talking about extensions rather than a full wig. I don´t remember the year or magazine though. . But whatever.....Prince had great hair until the very end. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! At that point I imagine it was probably Mayte wearing the hair pieces. Most probably because A) Prince's hair at that point was quite short, and B) Mayte's hair was more likely to have hair pieces. In fact- my friend who is a MUA mentioned this. I have my hair cut into the V bangs like Mayte did, and she cut my hair for me and noted that Mayte probably wore some form of hair piece because her hair always looked full at the front compared to normal hair. When she tilted her head down, she also noted Mayte's crown was quite far back as well which could be extra space for a frontal piece to have been added. Mayte's hair also sometimes looked very full at the back.

I think that's just the light or something. They would have caught that and covered it up somehow. Prince was short and knew people could easily see the top of his head. He would have worn a cap or something I believe. He really didn't slip.
