Everybody's all into P's religion this week! Ok here are my thoughts, take em for what they're worth.

A. If Prince actually is a JW, then he ain't a "Jesus freak" so to speak. The "J" stands for "Jehovah" not "Jesus" and, as I understand it, it does matter to them.

B. As far as him being a hipocryte, as has been stated here a million times, the dude is in his mid-forties. It'd be really sad if he was the same person he was in his early twenties. It's not like he's the only forty-something who not as risque or profane as they used to be in their twenties.

Bob Marley was Rastafari, don't throw him in with the christian brigade.

i mentioned Ben Harper cuz on his new album there is some pretty explicit references to Jesus and all that, maybe even more explicit than what P talks about on TRC. Prince was always religious as hell re: God, 4 The Tears In Your Eyes, etc. i ain't blaming nobody for anything, just looking to get my thoughts across. i don't know how many orgers like/dislike/tolerate the JW stance that Prince has these days and i'm just looking to get a few opinions.

and yes Essence, i know Bob Marley was Rastafari. Jesus freak just means, to me, a religiously intense person.

JWs arenot Jesus freaks. Prince used to be a Jesus Freak.

JW don't beleive J to be the son of GOD. they accept that he was a prophet.

Add Billy Corgan to that list...

Prince was a freak when it came to sex...
Prince is serious when it comes to Jesus
