I think I will eventually buy Parke's book. I have read most of the stories from it and P looks quite good in most of the pictures. Its a nice book. Alan Leeds just endorsed it and Parke seems like a good man with a compassionate view of Prince.

But I have to say that the pictures from Afshin Shahidi that have been released already are better photographs (with better composition ) and he has more candids. Also, the book is supposedly only composed of unreleased pictures, he is responsible for pictures of P with no makeup, and he was from an under-chronicled time in Prince's life. As long as his antecdotes are as warm as Parke's were, I think I am more excited about this book. Beyonce foreward or not. Afshin did seem to like Prince in his descriptions on Facebook. I hope the book is in the same tone.

I am sure it is pretty nice book. Did you buy in the U.S or overseas. I think the U.S. version that he just released has more pictures in it.

Don't get me wrong, Parke is a good photographer, but Afshin Shahidi is very very good photographer.

Come on. Prince with no makeup is like finding a needle in a haystack.
