Prince pens a note to thank his saxophonist Eric Leeds for the horn arrangement that Leeds wrote and recorded for the song ‘Holly Don’t Care.’ In distinctive purple ink, Prince writes: “I thank u, Holly thanks u, my thank u thanks u… Thank u, thank u, thank u, thank u, thank u, Damn!” Includes the original envelope, addressed in Prince’s hand, “S Eric Leeds.”

Baby Don't Care (originally titled Holly Don't Care) is the eighth track on Mayte's first and only album Child Of The Sun. The song was written and produced by Prince (prior to the name change to ), although the writing credit is listed as "", and no production credit is given.

While specific recording dates are not known, initial tracking (as Holly Don't Care) took place in September 1992 at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA...

Actress and singer Holly Robinson Peete sang lead vocals. Horn overdubs by Eric Leeds and Atlanta Bliss were recorded on 15 November 1992 (on the same day as horn overdubs on Hit U In The Socket). It isn't known if Tevin Campbell recorded vocals for the track, however.

Holly had a video of herself out at Paisley Park maybe a day or two after Prince died. She happend to be in Minneapolis on business. She is just crying her eyes out and it is one of the saddest triubutes I saw last year/
