Best album after Lovesexy? Quite simply, what do you think was the best Prince album released after the last great Prince album (Lovesexy).
For me, it's a choice between the Batman soundtrack and The Gold Experience, and you know what, Bats wins it.

I don't perceive Lovesexy to be a great album but it is a good one and spawned a great tour. After Lovesexy, Prince has had several very good albums (Grafitti Bridge based on prince songs only, Exodus, TGE, ONA, and I am an outlyer thinking The Chocolate Invasion is terrific, and Musicology), but the post peak album I experience as being great in AOA. |

The best album after the black album (Lovesexy was and is such a disappointment) for me is a tie between Exodus and The Rainbow Children. He's had a lot of flashes of brilliance throughout the last 30 years, but I felt his albums always were uneven. Paisley Park is in your heart - Love Is Here! |

Grafitti Bridge is not really a 90's album and beyond even though it was released in 1990. It's a bunch of 80's carry overs. __________________________________________________

Lovesexy was not a great album or Prince's last great album.
Loved it and my fondness grew over time.
AOA was his last great album and the best R&B album of the 21st Century. |
