Who you chose to be offended by is odd to me. . Are you really more offended by my stating that Prince may have been a bit paranoid (even though Chaka Khan, herself, used that very word to describe him while also stating how humane and warm he had also become.) than all the other crap that is routinely stated about him on here even to this day. I over-defend Prince most of the time. . Ask most people here. I am not even criticizing Prince with the statement but I will agree that maybe this wasn't the place for it.

Every generation tells the next generation to listen to their music. Its always the same. Why cant we just let people enjoy what they like. So they wanna see taylor swift and not prince, so what? Its their taste. You can never change somebody's taste

They are not exposed to most of Prince's music. If they still don't like it for whatever reason after being exposed to it, then fine. BUt the little attention it gets from music critics etc gets on my nerves. I am not talking about kid's tastes. You are right. Its hard to get people to like music they don't like. But what's wrong with encouraging young folks to branch out beyond what's right in front of their faces and only catered toward them. I was grateful for the eclectic music I was exposed to as a kid. It enriched my life to listen to older music, just as it is exciting to discover the next big thing.
