It was not on Sportify and Hit and Run was the only one he put on Apple music. You keep forgetting that his issues with streaming had to do the pennies that Sportify was paying. He was able to get a large up front payment from Tidal and I am sure he got some satisfactory payment out of Apple but he was not doing business with Sportify. Right and if he ever was able to come up with an equitable agreement with Spotify then his music would have gone back there. We don’t know what the terms of agreement were with the Estate. Or maybe they felt what’s most important now is getting Prince’s music in front of as many (young) people as possible. At some point and time he might have gotten a good deal from Sportify but I do not think the estate had leverage to get a good deal.

I am looking at the Comerica's fees from June to September 2017 and it appears we may get Ps book after all because this is what they noted in a court filing!! "Continued negotiations on amendment to pre-death agreement for book"

Any new information or an update on the estate report that Mayte may have been named as the beneficiary of one of Prince's pension funds?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
If Mayte was named a beny on a pension fund it wouldnt go through probate court. She would just get the money just like somone who was a beny on a life insurance policy.

. eh? Counting tapes is the same as making an inventory? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Inventory means is exactly what it means. Comerica is under the watch of the court. They are not going to take tapes and throw them in a box.
The only person putting out this nonsense is Lonnie. He is a entertainment attorney and certainly should know better if he does not then it is a good thing he is no longer handeling things.

Most likely mediation with Tidal and not Phaedra. The Estate has not filed anything against Phaedra, and she did provide documents to the Estate along with Trotter and Ellis Lamkins. I think Suarez and Perez are ex-employees at Tidal.

Maybe this just means there was a "pre-death agreement for a book" and now that that book will not be delivered to the publisher, return of the advance is being negotiated as well as payments to ghost writers, book designers , cover concept artists, etc.

That's what I think too. And 50 pages for a book, isn't very many.

A few of my "take-aways":
Declaration of Mark W. Greiner Regarding Attorneys Fees from June 2017 - Sept 2017 with Exhibits A-P (Redacted): - The document is a whopping 614 pages long...that is just "wow" to me. Seriously, keeping tabs on the happenings of the PRN Estate is its own full-time job. - p. 6 - "The hourly rates charged by Fredrikson in this matter are our standard local hourly rates. No premium or national rate adjustments have been made in connection with any matter relating to the Estate." . Declaration of Angela W. Aycock Regarding Comerica's Fees and Costs From June 2017 - Sept 2017 with Exhibit A: - I liked reading this document because it's only 6 pages long and it summarizes all of the activities that Comerica is undertaking in order to administer the PRN Estate. - There are 2 experienced attorneys, Andrea L. Bruce and Angela W. Aycock, who are managing the matters of Prince's estate. . I think it's good that a New York-based firm like Comerica is handling the PRN Estate. Given the enormous number of matters involved in managing Prince's estate, as well as the need to consult with entertainment industry experts in managing the Estate's assets, it is my guess that the only American firms with this level of expertise would be located in either NYC or Los Angeles. The publisher never filed a claim against the Estate for the return of any advancements. I believe there are more pages or recordings P made for the ghost writer.

Thank you. No where was a claim made to get back money from the advance. It appears that the law firm is billing for work concerning the release of the book. I also could see Prince recording it or maybe already had some of it written before he even had the deal.
If he was ill it would make sense to record it.

I took a look again and scrolled down and there are more notes concerning mediation with Tidal so not Phedra. I would not be surprised it they reach an agreement with Tidal. I believe the issues with Tidal were manufactured and blown out of propotion by Lonnie and company. I think Comerica just wants to resolve the issues Lonnie and Chuck generated and move forward. I also think a court date might allow things to get out that are private matters concerning P's health and Tidal's business structure. Something I would think both Tidal and Comerica want to keep out of the public eye.
I also looked up Aztec and Lake drive. Aztec is an empty lot and Lake drive is a commercial building that use to have a dentist office and an interior design firm as tenets. So Prince had some investment property.
I hope the refinacing agreement is not to take out a loan against the assets. All and all Comerica appears to be getting things done.

. Inventory would mean that at PP one would count and inventory them tapes under watch of a non Comerica representative, an only then them tapes could be shipped. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
What is your point? Comerica hires someone to take inventory of the material. How much and to categorize it is then shipped for restoration which would have to take place before they can do anything with it.

I thought it was interesting the Comerica made an agreement (my words) with the farmer that is making hay on the Galpin property.
Comerica's fees are very reasonable. it is the attorney's fees that are draining the estate. Too bad they don't do a flat rate like Comerica.
I wonder what NIL is? I noticed that is referred to a lot.
Hopefully, the Turk & Ciacos property can be auctioned off soon. It is costing a good bit of money, plus whatever damages were suffered from the hurricanes.
I found it interesting that Tyka and Omar have lease agreements. Nothing bad. Also, there are loan considerations for the hiers ( again my wording).
It seems Prince's taxes from prior years are being reviewed. I am sure they are making sure everything is corrected and up to date to move forward.
Why would there need to be insurance on a release? I saw that there was insurance reviews on PR deluxe release and songs released by Prince?
