Nope the dude from Spotify Comerica hired as the entertainment advisor can Waltz, Cha Cha, Cuban Shuffle, River Dance, or Wobble Wobble right in there with WB or whomever will give him the biggest return on his percentage just like that. Such an indignity to Prince and what he stood for.

Has anyone heard how Tyka & Omarr feel about it?
Comerica stated that they talked to the Estate about this at least 4 times before it happened.

Totally Agree! If Comerica doesn't care what the heirs think or what they have to say, they probably think even less about the fans and will continue doing their own thing as long as it prolongs their control and ability to maladminister, eventually draining the estate dry.
Well, there's some major fan shit-stirring happening right here! Look Londell, this topic is being discussed on numerous Prince Facebook groups, pages, and personal fan accts as we speak. There are industry pro's who have weighed in and word has it that this was a good move, a smart move, and that there's also people out there who are well-qualified to go through the vault material to do whatever is necessary to come up with a final value determination. What's your issue, other than creating continual turmoil among the masses? People who couldn't be bothered to show up at PP until after P left us aren't looking after his legacy, they are looking after their cut of the purple pie. Like you are.

At first I was just no for moving the contents of the Vault.
But when I think about it, it really is a good thing to bring his work to a facility where there may be a controlled climate and they will be able to prevent or slow down the disintergration of tapes and other stuff. Who knows what is and is not salvagable. As well as preserve stuff for the future for the fans.

---- You are the only person on this board rooting for SNJ who are represented by Lonnie/Northstar group. You either work for him or you are him.
You have continued to ignore factual information which appears in the court docs and carrying on about things that are not going to change( Warner Brothers deal) All of this type if stuff is Lonnie behavior.
There are people in Facebook groups who are saying they asked back in May at Paisley Park tours about the vault and were told that restoration was taking place so how would SNJ not know about it and why not just go to Judge Eide? I am sure court docs were filled and the sibs need to realize that the music industry is in L.A and whatever company is working on this project is going to be based out of L.A. Restoration needs to take place so the music can be releashed it is not going to happen sitting in a vault. [Edited 10/12/17 3:01am] |

Comerica defended its decision in a statement.
“In an effort to ensure the preservation of Prince’s audio and visual content, Comerica selected the premier entertainment storage and archive company, Iron Mountain Entertainment Services,” the statement said. “On four separate occasions, Comerica discussed the process with the heirs and any suggestion otherwise is not accurate.”

I am sure Comerica has some inventory list of what was moved. They seem to be getting things on the right track from the Bremer mistakes. I just can't see Comerica not inventoring the items. They might not have titles, but they may have numbered the items to ensure that nothing is missing. |

Of course the have some sort of system. The sisters are acting like Prince is the only artist on the earth with a catalogue of music. As if this process was never ever carried out in the history of recorded music.
I wonder who could be advising them? |

So let's put this in perspective, you don't tell the heirs the vault is being emptied, it remained safely in Paisley Park for over 40 years, there was no concern to expeditiously move it in the past year, according to Comerica they have not yet inventoried the contents and provided that level of info to anyone which is why they can't determine the tax obligation to close the estate, so they take it upon themselves to ship it to the iron mountain facility in California no less, which is in close proximity to who? Yep, Warner Bros who will now have access to not only the masters under their contract, but all of his life's work since it has not been itemized before the move. Can you say Hoodwinked, Bamboozled, taking advantage of a dynasty, disrespecting his legacy. It doesn't look like we will see any new music anytime soon with the litigation that will follow this shady move. Do you smell that? Smells like Injuction to me.

[Edited 10/14/17 8:24am] If WB had access to the masters and Prince’s vault we would have had better selection of music on the OR remaster instead of getting the crap out their vault. This is more ranting from Lonnie about the WB which nothing can be done about. Prince signed that deal and it was what he wanted and Lonnie needs to get over it. There is no conspiracy by Iron Mountain to work in cohorts with WB to steal anything the court is watching they are watching Lonnie. |

We know WB does not access to Prince’s vault but if TC wants to admend the agreement to license out more material so be it. The estate will make money and fans will get to hear the music. It was not on Sportify and Hit and Run was the only one he put on Apple music. You keep forgetting that his issues with streaming had to do the pennies that Sportify was paying. He was able to get a large up front payment from Tidal and I am sure he got some satisfactory payment out of Apple but he was not doing business with Sportify. |

No it does not. What does Iron Mountain restoration services have to do WB? Some company is going to have to market and distrubute the material. It could be WB, UMG (which lonnie had no problem with ) or the family could do it in house once they inherit. The point is a deal to distrubute the material has to be completed in order for the estate to make money. Nothing is wrong with WB being that company. This person refuses to acknowledge that Prince signed a deal with WB to license his music no one put a gun to his head.
The only bad thing would be selling everything to any company which at this point is not possible. The family has to be consulted over any deals over 2 million and I am sure publishing and masters are worth more than 2 million.

It was Lonnie who put Prince’s music on Sportify in the first place. Someplace Prince did not want the music to be at all. Secondly, the estate is still in probate no assets are going to be sold without the approval of the court or family members. We know WB does not access to Prince’s vault but if TC wants to admend the agreement to license out more material so be it. The estate will make money and fans will get to hear the music. I think you do not know the difference between license and owning. I also think that if TC gets money coming into the estate rather then lawsuits he deserves 5%. The whole point is to get the music out so that it is profitable to the estate how the 3/4 of a penny that streaming services pay is of great benefit to the estate I will never know. If Prince didn’t want his music on streaming how come Hit n Run Phase 2 was available to stream on Apple Music (before any streaming deals were announced)?
It was not on Sportify and Hit and Run was the only one he put on Apple music. You keep forgetting that his issues with streaming had to do the pennies that Sportify was paying. He was able to get a large up front payment from Tidal and I am sure he got some satisfactory payment out of Apple but he was not doing business with Sportify. Right and if he ever was able to come up with an equitable agreement with Spotify then his music would have gone back there. We don’t know what the terms of agreement were with the Estate. Or maybe they felt what’s most important now is getting Prince’s music in front of as many (young) people as possible. Paisley Park is in your heart
