A boxset of the Piano & Microphone would be outstanding. Everyone is different, some of us more critical than others, some of us more musically inclined than others, as for P playing an instrument & singing, I like almost all of it, flaws & all.

ANY release from the estate would be welcome, I don't care of it's a cover album of Millie Vanilli classics. "You always get the dream that you deserve, from what you value the most" -Prince 2013

At the last PP party, Prince told us he planned on releasing the 2nd show. He said they were going to clean up the audience screaming. They played from When Will We B Paid to Dark. It hadn't been cleaned up yet.
I would buy a boxset, but I really only want both PP shows on DVD. I've seen the first half of the first show and it looks and sounds great. Does anyone know if any other shows were filmed with multiple cameras? TRUE BLUE

Wouldn't most people that visit this site want every single show included? I guess one question is what would the masses buy? But, the real qustion is what would we all buy? The reality is that the masses are not going to buy a piano show by Prince. They want to dance to Kiss and Let's Go Crazy. Any Piano & Microphone Boxset needs to be responsive to the diehard fans, which means it needs to be very inclusive. Take pre-orders to cut down overhead and take our money. Have a less expensive version for the casual fans who say they are diehards.

Yes please; and depending upon the cost; that's what I would give to everyone on my Christmas list.

The estate appears to be unable to release anyting worthwhile. The PR thing was already in the can for few years, and was driven by WB. All types of 'talk' about multiple media deals etc but no releases materialize, no plans are announced, nothing appears to happen to even preserve the tapes. . So first 'they' have to demonstrate that they are able to release a multi disc box set of <insert anything here>, could be the Piano thing, in a complete and respectful way. Thus: decent packaging, decent mastering, sparse editing. .

I'd put money on there being a solo piano album in the vault, like The Truth. Old songs, or perhaps new ones. I'm hopeful he would have made studio recordings of new the arrangements we would perform on the tour... as he recorded and listened back to everything! . That, with a DVD/Blu-ray of one of the live shows would be a great release.

. Do you really think that a release of some practice runs (audio) plus a video disc would pay the bills for the estate? Even the judge is concerned about the cost of them laywers types! And I did not yet see any plans for paying the tax bill for the heritage. So what are they doing besides wasting time? . Bring it on! Box sets of everything! The whole piano thing. (not compressed to the moon like the PR fiasco please!) How many times must one tell them to take my money until they start acting? Well, as long as we're talkin, I want ALL of his live material released and have always been willing to pay for it. Wish he'd gone the Grateful Dead/Rush style an allow us to plug in and get ahwt we ant all along. If anything good came from his death, it was the overwhelming flood of stuff I'd never seen/heard and I'll take all I can get.

I would definitely buy a box set.. Until the end of time

The core question is: Is WB still the one album per year company that they were while Prince was alive? Or do they see possibilities for profit with multiple multi disc releases? The Music Gala at Paisley Park is the one that needs to be the focus. Both shows should've already been put out on the anniversary of the show this past January. It could easily be a digital release with no issue of distribution/labels etc. These digital shows could pop up anytime and would be a welcomed introduction to the family managing the music for the estate. Scottie obviously worked on the sound and could help them put these Paisley shows out. There are endless shows at Paisley that were recorded. Prince owned those shows. It's almost too simple. The family will be bankrupt in no time if they don't move this material soon. There has to be very little money coming in at this point. I understand the issues with the studio material and ownership. But there is nothing holding this back.

A box set with the last two Atlanta shows: the first on cd and the last on dvd would do it for me. 'Liberate My Mind'

. Both shows are out on pressed discs in decent quality. Video could be next... The estate is wasting time. What are they doing? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
