Prince's cover of "I can't make you love me" Have any of you guys heard this before???? I was fooling around on YouTube and happened to come across it. Quite simply, it blew me away. Easily the most beautiful version of this song that I have ever heard. His voice transports you to an incredible place. He was otherworldly. Loved it for years, one of the highlights on Emancipation. I like his funked up cover of "Everyday is Winding Road" too, far better than the dreary original, IMO of course. [Edited 8/7/17 0:04am] We're here, might as well get into it. | |

I like it but I would have liked it more back then if he had toned down the sexual innuendo at the end of the song, which doesn´t really fit into that song. Back in the 90s there were two cover versions of this song....one by Prince and one by George Michael, and George Michael gave a great rendition during his MTV Unplugged show.
