If the estate found and released a new memoir on his life? Interested or would you accept him for who said he was?

This article posted below tells us he was coming up with a memoir in fall 2017: http://www.billboard.com/...-fall-2017
As a fan, would you have wanted to read it knowing what you know already about him? If so, what would you have wanted him to discuss in this memoir?
Do you feel he needed to explain himself in a memoir or are you the type of fan who just accepted him for who he was? Flaws and all?
In my opinion, I feel I have understood most of what he was conveying to us when he was alive! What do you think?

I feel I've misconstrued some things and never really understood it too to heart what he said about letting the lyrics tell you his story until after he passed but I don't think his memoir would have been too truthful or revealing coming from him as he was so secretive etc..even when facing certain death

The delivery would not have been different from how Prince is.
It would not about about pointing out facts and dates as much as described
: "an unconventional and poetic journey through his life and creative work – from the family that shaped him and the people, places, and ideas that fired his creative imagination, to the stories behind the music that changed the world," in a press release.

.

I think that is true to Prince. Like a memoir that looks and sounds like ATWIAD or Rainbow Children

I would love to see his point of view.

.

I always read other people talking bout him and I know he wasnt an easy guy to deal with sometimes, but I always accepted him for who he was. Specially because he seemed to be real nicer and down to earth in his last years.

This was my impression, too.

I'm aware this was written in March 2016, but what if the estate found an unfinished memoir and decided to release it in the fall. As a fan, would you want to read about his life (love, family, relationships with members from his band and his staff) from his perspective instead of what others said about his life?
Or did you already have an understanding about what he was saying about his life during interviews?
I'm curious to know whether we should have relied on interviews and books from others to learn about who he was.
In my perspective, he was extremely shy about who he was in person even though he didn't convey that shyness when he was doing what made him happiest, playing music onstage. But however, I bet it was a pain trying to get to know him at first being that he didn't seem comfortable talking with everyone. What are your thoughts?

Nothing say HITNRUN like getting a big advance for something you never planned on delivering. IMO

Publishing works much like music.
You get an advance, they own the book and pay you royalties.
He would have submitted the first 50 long before the March 2016 announcement, maybe even as a proposal.
There was a writer working with him.
It will surface.
50 pages augmented with photographs would make a nice publication. Especially if they were photos P himself took.

I would absolutely buy it, read it, love to own it. And I loved and accepted him, warts and all. Still do.

I would buy it I didn't buy Mayte's book for reasons some people have already explained. Whether Prince was candid about the many facets of his life or took poetic license to explain his life with metaphors and cryptic messages, it still represents his legacy and the final word on his life from the subject all these exploitative books and programs on Reelz tv inspire.

Because there are people who do not want to hear or know what he really thought. They belive his ex-wives, groupies, jump-off, associates, band mates and relavtives know his thoughts. They do not believe Prince was even in agreement with contract he actually signed and received payment from.

They do not believe that he had a plan for his music with these contracts and his LLC.

Because other people know best.

I remember when the publisher announced the book. I couldn't wait to read it then and can't wait to (someday, hopefully) read the 50 pages he did write. I will eagerly buy whatever the publisher releases of this unfinished memoir.

May I ask for your help to clarify this statement please? Do you have reasons to believe he would not have been truthful? Were there any past events leading you to believe he would not have been truthful in his memoir?

I am so amazed at how many people do not believe Prince himself. This reality is a shocking to me.
