If Prince believes in what he chooses to believe... then he is just like you and I. Whatever we choose to believe, we will always find evidence to support our own thoughts AND things will appear to us in that frame because that's what we've conditioned our mind to look for. This is the psychological process that gives all of us faith in whatever we choose to believe, and I'm not just talking about religion here.
In my opinion, there is actually no such thing as truth, just what we choose to believe, and this is where Prince and I probably differ. That's cool and I can respect that. . [This message was edited Mon Apr 14 11:57:04 PDT 2003 by Anji]

So you're one of those people who think you could flap your arms and fly away if only you had enough faith? Fear is the mind-killer.

Anji said: Interesting, Telly. I don't believe that will happen to me and therefore it's hardly surprising that it doesn't (at least, not in my mind).
Just testing the premise here...you're saying that someone else, then, could defy the laws of physics using only their beliefs? Fear is the mind-killer.

Let's bring this discussion back to Prince.
Those fans that think Prince in the 90's was not as good as Prince in the 80's, will inevitably find evidence to support their beliefs. That doesn't mean their opinion is true, even if it is widely held.

Similarly, those fans that think Prince is dissing their lifestyle choices in The Rainbow Children, will inevitably find evidence to support their beliefs. That doesn't mean their opinion is true, even if it is widely held.
