It's all good, fam! But to answer your question (only for me), I'm just enthustastic and eager to hear the tracks. I preordered the 4-disc set in April from Amazon. Just waiting for it to be shipped. And I'll most likely go into a store once it's available and purchase the 2-disc set so I can have it in my car (in case my phone dies or my USB drive is in the house). I've also purchased all (3) single releases from the set when they became available. And lastly, I have a Spotify and Tidal premium account so I can stream if I'm not in an area to access my library (and for basic ease of access). So for me, I feel I've plenty contributed and supported this official release. Again, just anxious to listen is all...

For me, haven't preordered but I will be at Best Buy at 10am when they open Friday to buy the first copy off their shelf.

And since I'm doing that, when it leaks online, why should I wait?

I've illegally downloaded every Prince album for at least the last 10 years before it came out, and purchased every single one of them on Day 1. Some of them I've purchsed multiple copies.

But if/when it's out there, why shouldn't I go ahead and listen and join the discussion?

i think this is true for most people. for me personally, i'd appreciate a leak just to have it a day
or two early and because i don't have to bother to rip my physical cds once they arrive i can
just put them in the car oh and i've also bought the 3 single releases as well

Exactly. It's just for the love of the music. Sure, I could wait. And if I have to, then so be it. But if I can get ahold of a copy early, then I don't see the harm. It's spreading the love really. Making people feel good...

If it doesn't leak before I guess it will be up on Apple Music at midnight. So I will stay up until midnight to listen to it, then go to bed for five hours before I go to work. So I really, really hope it leaks

Like you Thirdstrike (and most people here) I've purchased countless versions of most of his albums. The itch to hear it early certainly increased exponentially knowing some have gotten theirs already.

then i got a new car, cleaned the debris out of the old one and from under

This is not the remaster but the Japanese mini LP cd release from several years ago. The Japanese deluxe version will have the same artwork as the US one.

I've been assuming those are untouched.

They don't seem to have done any mastering on the second disc, I can't see the disc of singles being remastered. Maybe though, I haven't heard anything either way.

i was hoping they would have but i guess perhaps they didn't. it would have been nice to have
everything sounding roughly the same so that a playlist with all pr related songs would flow a
bit better.

I really want this remaster to sell great because I REALLY want remasters to "Around the World in a Day" and "Sign O the Times" because along with Purple Rain they had the best singles/extended versions.
