You have a time stamp in the URL. The "&t=790s" is "and time equals 790 seconds". Take that off so the video starts the beginning: https://www.youtube.com/w...Sx1D3hrAak

PS I had that dolphin candle for a long time. I went to look for it when I lived in Mpls, and was reminded of the VH1 special. I never forgot about it really. They sold them at a candle shop in Calhoun Square (I worked at a salon there, too). I bought the same one, same color, but they had them white and black too. I saw it for a few years after the fact, too, in New York.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

The picture kept stopping on me and I wanted to get it up on the board since it has been removed for copyright claim about a dozen times.

Hooker, bitch, and ho

I only knew one and never told her though

If a woman ever says I did...she's a muthafucking lie

and I'm a set-up kid.

Days of Wild is funkier than usual. I never knew about this movie. The internet is so cool.

Dolphins everywhere. If I came back as a dolphin, would u listen to me then...

Nona Gaye is badder than a mutha...Damn, she's good looking. Plus, her daddy's a legend.

P shoulda left Mayte alone and hooked up with Nona for the long haul, or as long as he could...

Michael Bland looks like a gallon of milk wearing clothes...God bless his heart!

He could play his ass off, though.

VH1 had Prince take over their channel in the mid 90's right around the time The Gold Experience, Exodus and Children of the Sun were out. There was also a special where he disses Madonna at the beginning and they play videos from those 3 albums I mentioned. Very cool era at the time to be following Prince.

The filming for this movie was done over a couple different shows at Paisley Park in October 1995. I think it aired on VH1 sometime in January 1996. I remember them doing Gold twice. Great times!

He really IS!

His acting is dreadful though...I think this makes UTCM look like another Oscar-winning performance! biggrin

Sounds right as far as the VH1 airing. I remember a music channel called The Box. You call a number, get charged $1 or whatever, enter a 3 digit number to request a video, and it played very soon after. Like a jukebox through your television. I spent a few dollas requesting "Gold" over and over.

There's a shot of a gentleman in the audience that is in slo-mo, when prince starts his guitar solo and there's a slight surge of applause. You see the look on this random guy's face, and how much he's enjoying the show. At some point, we're all that guy.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Funny, I know excactly which shot you're talking about. I watched it last weekend and he has this look of total amazement and joy. smile

Yes, I know who you mean - the older guy with sheer joy across his face. And as you say we've all been there.

.

I used to love the videos and short movies he made back then. Was cool to get a little glimpse into his world and behind the scenes at Paisley.
