One can't help but speculate. He wrote so many songs about looking for love, finding love, and loosing love, and then starting all over again. I never thought for a moment that either he nor Andy Allo were in love with one another. Her response to his death was more of the response of hearing that someone you had worked with in the far past had died then hearing that a past lover died. Before her was Bria Valente and she seemed to want him badly, the more visible that was the more he seemed to push her away. There were just so many "girls of the moment" like Liza and such. I don't even remember Liza's last name. She was a dancer from Panama who bore a resemblance to Beyonce in the same way that Andy Allo looks a bit like Esperenza.
I think after Manuela he wasn't giving anyone a real chance. My guess was that he loved cute women much younger then he and he liked to be in charge all the time. The problem is that they were no match for his energy or his dark side. He could mop the floor with them, it was like a wolf dating sheep. They were bound to get the short end of the stick. Thos is my analyses only. Never met the man so really it is just observation.
Some powerful people like to suround themselves with other strong people and feel that the push back makes them stronger. Others don't want any challenges at all. They want followers; they are the prophet and everyone else is a disciple who can learn from them.
My other GUESS is that that is what did him in. Nobody challenged him on how he was taking care of his health. Everyone allowed him his complete privacy. If he had a shewolf type of women she'd have gone into his bottles of pills, questioned him and not given a care that he complained about having his privacy violated. She would not have taken "none of your business" as an answer.

I believe the young people around could keep up with him better which is one reason he chose them. Another is that they didn't have histories and weren't "jaded" yet...they were positive, which he liked. The downside of this I believe (when it comes to romance) is that simply put, they weren't ready for a relationship yet.

Someone exposed her fake DM between her and Prince on Twitter recently and it was hilarious. Prince asked if it was "a recent picture". She said it was taken recently on way back from The Mall.

When I say "energy" I don't mean "energetic", lively spirit. You are right youth is lively you can see the difference in a kitten vs a cat, a colt vs a mare. What I mean by energy is that strong energy that forceful people have that gets them their way every time. The man had fought with record companies, lawyers, and anybody else that didn't see things his way. He had plenty of practice; tiny in size but T-Rex size in spirit he most likely ALWAYS got his way in a relationship with a younger women who didn't have his fame or fortune. Being young doesn't mean your naive or silly. I don't think they were, certainly not Manuela, but I do think his control issues and persistance ( traits he'd admit he had) could wear any woman down. I honestly think that he was a difficult person to relax around. Again, never met him and clearly I could be off track.

When folks hit the reply button it doesn't distribute the previous replies and the accompanying nams of the posters of those replies in the correct position so that it's clear who posted what...
I always clean mine up cuz otherwise it sometimes looks like the wrong person posted something that's problematic...and frankly, I'd rather not get splattered by someone else's blame...
Carry on...

I keep saying that someone should write a book interviewing tons of women that spent time with Prince. He was always looking for his next protege. I keep thinking of another genius, Pablo Picasso who both loved women and could also destroy them. I live in Massachusetts so meeting his ex's would be difficult. I just feel like there is a book there. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.
