I read that David Bowie was a fan of hers too. To know that Prince & Bowie rate you as an actress must give your self esteem a boost.

I don't think she looks a thing like Mayte other than dark brown hair and being white. Marion has enormous blue eyes.

Also, she is a legitimately great actress and not just a great beauty.

I don't know who Mathilda May is, but I looked her up and there was a movie she was in playing an alien and she was naked through most of it. God, Prince...of course.

I wonder what he thought of the absolutely gorgeous and super-talented French actress Isabelle Adjani. Her career sored in the late 70 and early 80's. Her work in Camille Claudel and The Story of Adele H were outstanding performances..she played a lot of crazies.

There's a story to Prince and Mathilda May, here in France people remember it well. You can find parts of it in the French Prince biography "Le Cygne Noir" (The Black Swan) and perhaps also in "Purple Fam" by Raphael Melki who collected memories of French fans. I haven't read either of them, just a recommendation.

I admire Isabelle Adjani too.

Yes it would be likely especially since they first met in the late 80s. Me personally it also made me think of Marianne whom he met in Rio. She was a model/actress who quit modeling to become a parachutist ... jumping from plane to plane. However, the song was done before he met her, so Mathilda is more likely although he highly respected her and stayed friends with her all his life which the lyrics do not exactly mirror.
