I didn't see anything in there that was that terrible except maybe this:

One person simply tweeted her blunt feelings. “Now all Chan is gonna be famous for is shitty rich white people and the [Chanhassen] dinner theater.”

Really. So for 30 years Prince chose to live in a city full of "shitty rich white people". Hmm...OK.

Anyway all I got out of this is that Prince didn't really have a huge relationship with the mayor or other city officials. And I'm sure the city wasn't prepared for the aftermath of his passing. I remember the mayor saying Audubon road was going to be closed for the weekend (after his passing). It ended up being closed for a month. I may be a bit biased being a resident of the city but I think for the most part Chan has handled things well. You didn't have the mayor or city council members with their mugs all over TV trying to become famous or claiming they knew Prince when they may never have even met him. And it's only natural that the city would think about how PP as a museum might also benefit the city through increased tourism (the city doesn't get a cut of museum ticket sales). During the Celebration event the mayor was very friendly meeting fans and even attended a candle light vigil at PP on 4/21.

Much ado about nothing imo.

He died in shitty ass Chanhassen (sorry rogifan) not surprised, if Prince died in LA we would've had the full autopsy and a REAL investigation (don't kid yourselves, they won't end up actually charging anyone)

The mayor did not even know Prince and now they are riding the Purple gravy train. Also do you think it is normal to want to charge the estate 14k to take a body away but hey they were nice and cut it down to 8K. You do not randomly charge for city services. Services have set charges. It is corrupt and greedy. I wish Orince had burned PP down so these greedy vultures would not be getting a penny. Just like he knocked down his house to stop M2 from getting his house.

You missed the point completely. The tweet was saying that Prince was the only good part about Chanhassen and now it's going to suck. It was a compliment to Prince.

Well if that was the point I beg to differ. It's shitty that Prince is no longer alive but the residents of Chanhassen aren't shitty and why play the race card? Prince chose to live in a mostly white city for 30 years...

Oh ffs, get over it Rogifan shake The best part of Chanhassen has passed. Don't worry, your city is gonna make a fortune with all the revenue his death is bringing to it. People are going there to see where Prince lived and get a sense of what his life was like. The same would be happening wherever it was that he lived, there is nothing special about Chanhassen itself except for Prince.

Wow, you guys. Treat the city Prince loved like shit. It's okay, Prince didn't love it there precisely because it was quiet and he was able to do shit like go to the store without being badgered. Or ride his bike around or whatever. But whatever, you all know better than he did about his home city. Carry on.

When did I say there was anything special about Chanhassen? I didn't. But to suggest the only good thing about the city was that Prince lived there is ridiculous.

My point was out of everything posted at that link in the OP the only thing remotely bothersome was some Twitter loser calling the residents of Chanhassen shitty rich white people.

We are responding to the statements that were made by city officials. Why jump on us for commenting on greedy ass elected officials trying to squeeze out money from the estate when they did not give Prince the time of fucking day when he was alive.

Because you're being ridiculous. They weren't badgering Prince because they didn't need to be up his ass about anything. What did you expect, for them to be over at Paisley kissing his ass all day? They've got a city to run.

Unlike you, they obviously had better things to do with their time than worry about that man. And OBVIOUSLY Prince wasn't upset that they weren't all over him. He only stayed there some THIRTY DAMN YEARS.

They weren't 'squeezing money out of' Prince. Every business -- including Paisley Park, which is a business -- has to pay taxes to exist in a city. Get over it, your bad attitude is certainly not a good look.

Because of where he chose to live he got to keep some dignity and privacy regarding his death. What the man would have wanted. Good.

^^Exactly.

The "neighbor" who heard Prince playing music and was concerned that the "noise" would continue after his death?

The Water Treatment Plant. Really? Being on the National Historic Register will shut all that shit down forever. Probably why they didn't do it but they should.

A Prince tribute band in a Chanhassen concert series in 2015? That is messed up in so many ways. Pretty sure he didn't want a wax museum. Maybe he would've suggested a band if they reached out.

Maybe to you, but you need to remember that the rest of us wouldn't have ever heard of that place if it weren't for him. Not ever. Might be a nice little place but there's thousands just like it all over the country. The only thing that ever stood out about it was Prince. There's no denying that no matter how much it pisses you off.

WTF are you talking about?
The coroner conducted a 4-5 hour autopsy in his remains.

You didn't know that? Why not?
.
I won't begin to describe what that autopsy would have entailed. You might have nightmares. Go find some of the "Dr G Medical Examiner" shows and pay attention.

I'm appalled that people here come up with wild accusations pulled out of their orifice, some fantasyland and no reality.

Cause none of this fits their narrative. It's easier to bash this city than act like reasonable people and stop judging what they don't know anything about. People are so worried about Prince's legacy that they forget that his fans are part of it, and you act like douchebags over everything, you tarnish it, and tarnish it badly. So the estate was charged for the things surrounding his death -- well, I have news for you.. your family will be paying for your stuff, too. None of that stuff is free, people, even for Prince. Nor should it be. Why the actual FUCK would you expect them not to, just because it's Prince. The actual fuck is wrong with people these days. And hell, I don't even know if people read the 'they debated' part of the sentence. So obviously there was some hesitation about it. But whatever, some people just can't even get their heads out of their asses these days.
