Thank god for The Current The Current is playing all Prince music today and the past hour they've been focusing on his more guitar heavy songs across his entire career not just the WB years. They're playing songs we'd never hear on a typical classic rock station. Love it. Paisley Park is in your heart

As soon as I get out of this stinkin' meeting at work, I'm there! We donβt mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

So much better than hearing the recycled same stuff over and over again on classic rock stations. Paisley Park is in your heart

Awesome. He deserves it. They're playing lots of Prince on the radio here today but it's good to have some more serious fan-based stuff out there, whew.

Interviewing Donna Grantis right now.
Donna said she moved to Uptown (Minneapolis) about 6 months ago. I'm assuming that's because Trevor is involved in the PP museum. [Edited 4/21/17 9:55am] Paisley Park is in your heart

Yep they're really doing him justice today. Not like iHeart stations that if they play anything at all would only be from 1999 or Purple Rain or maybe Kiss. Paisley Park is in your heart

They just said that Tony M was on a panel today explaining about how Prince's opinion on rap / hip-hop changed from when he recorded Dead On It to when he formed the NPG. He said Public Enemy's music was the critical driver of what caused him to respect the art form (he also mentioned ATCQ, though given the timing, I would assume that was more of a group that he listened to later). Interesting. [Edited 4/21/17 13:51pm] No Candy 4 Me

Thank you----- I can't explain to anyone else what it was like to grow up Mpls 'with' Prince. xxoo

i've been listening all afternoon -- an terrific cross-section of songs mostly from the 1980 - 1995 period (a couple newer things thrown in too). - I can't believe it's been a year. I can't believe it's been 39 years.
