This one is a tremendous amount of work if you want it to be done properly.
You need inputs from Wendy and Lisa, Susannah, Susan Rogers, Brett Fisher, the Counter-Revolution, Alan Leeds... because of the projects time spans. You also need to include Madhouse, and maybe the Flesh Sessions as well.

So basically we're talking about a "1986 - A Year In the Life" box set mixed with the SOTT "Ridiculously Deluxe Edition". Well, they're out there. Or at least were.

Purple Rain is THE one for the general public, we all know it and that's why it came first. The simultaneous number one album, single and movie, the oscar winning soundtrack, the album that was number one for nigh on 6 months? It deserves the honour.

I think Purple Rain is a good start for the many deluxe editions to come. Sign O' The Times would have been cool as the first deluxe edition but, it would have been a task to put it together and it may have been too much. It's gonna be interesting to see how a deluxe edition to Sign O' The Times would turn out. So many unreleased songs to consider along with demo and alternate mixes. One things for sure is that the estate/NPG Records will have my money when that's released.
