Yeah it is bloody annoying isn't it? I mean, I'm grateful for the new studio material and I didn't pay anything for this release so it's not like I feel personally ripped off or whatever, at the end of the day I got some awesome new Prince music and for that I'm grateful. But it's shitty to get people's hopes up that you're going to get upgrades or alternative by including those tracks and then just giving us the same old versions we're used to. Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

Slow groove is ok but Groove in G Flat Minor is the bomb, best track imo The blue angel is soaring.

Probably just to fill the disc and make it 4 full discs, more money to ask. Maybe the FBG or 4DaFunk label can do a proper release with just the Flesh sessions sorted and the Miles Davis stuff sorted. Hopefully some elites can finally release perfect versions of the filler outtakes. |
