Google Dm7sus4 It'll show you charts.

It's because there is no such thing as a Dm7sus4.

A suspended chord is where you replace the 3rd (the note that tells you major or minor) with either the 2nd or 4th interval from the scale. That's why you'll see sus2 and sus4 chords.

Without listening to the song, since D is the dominant of G, try this voicing to see how it sounds to you.

D7sus4 - D G A C (root 4th 5th b7)

A good voicing will drop the 5th and add the 9th - D G C E. this will voice lead well into the next two chords. On piano, double the D's an octave apart with the left hand and grab G C E with the right.

On guitar, 5th fret A D G B strings, one finger barre. You can work out other voicings to see what you like or fits better.
Like a G flat major with an E in the Bass

A side note, if you have Dm7 and add the G, your chord is Dm11, or some may write it as Dm7/11.

The voicing on this would be D F A C G.

Try D C F G (again, throw out the A). This would be more like a ii V I in C with the remaining chords. Which just picking it on guitar seems a better fit than D7sus4 from the previous post.

Let your ear be your guide.

Alright thank you I'll probably just use dm7 since it sounds the closest to it

Thank you I appreciate it! Are these for the whole song or just the intro and verse?
