It's labelled as "2015 PP Remaster", not "Remix" or "New Version" – so unless they are totally bonkers and don't know what they're talking about, this was remastered from the stereo master, not remixed from the multitracks, therefore it cannot contain any new recordings nor edits performed only on the vocal track.

Keep in mind that a remaster can also mean a new EQ which may alter some elements of the sound...

A small handful of people have it. Of the collectors that I know who post on this site.... 2 that I know of. Also there are different versions of the song, so those people may not even have the same version.

There was a demo on YouTube labelled as Katrina's, but it was mislabelled and was actually Joy aka Paisley Park Instrumental.

I know – but we weren't talking about that. The post I replied to was worried about any changes in the lyrics and such. Not something that'd be possible at the mastering stage.

No, you cannot mute a word or section from a mixed master without affecting the music too – and I sincerely hope they wouldn't butcher this one up like they did with Sexy MF.

I've pre-ordered plenty of items where the pending charge went through way before items shipped. Childish Gambino's web store charged me fully in December for his LP, which has still yet to ship.

I happens, I know, but it's certainly an unethical practice. But it's also possible that sometimes your online banking might show an amount as charged, while in reality it's still only on hold.

Overall I am still pretty satisfied with what we are getting. Wonderful Ass, The Dance Electric, and CB Hallway are three of my all time favorite Prince tracks so I am thrilled to finally have those in their full studio quality to enjoy. Syracuse will be cool to have in full quality as well, as well as a fully remastered version of an iconic album. I am a happy fan right now

Amazon doesn't have it listed and neither does the WB site.

I think the thread title should be updated to say the release is out June 23rd, and the first post should be updated to have pre-order links.

Nice to hear the studio version of EI, and it certainly has its charm, but I do hope the live version gets an official release at some point, as it's the definitive version of the song and one of his most sublime moments. I can see why they opted for this, to dangle something new and shiny before expectant fans, but I kinda think it should have been the live version that was included on this set.

Perhaps Warners are holding back the First Avenue concert for a proper release at a future date - DVD and CD; versions with and without overdubs, etc. (Ok, probably not, but a guy can dream....)

This is a total shitfest! Tracks we already have...no 2 albums of unreleased material, no 2 DVD concerts.

I may not buy any of it!

I'm disapointed that there's not a second disc but I think people are overreacting. For what is being released the prices are very reasonable, in the UK at least. If they'd announced a price point for two unreleased discs and then released less at that price point, then that's a real shit. As it stands, bummed there's not two unreleased discs but more than happy with what we have for the price.

You're complaining because material that you have acquired illegally is being released officially? What it comes down to is that we're all a bunch of thieves and we're whining that WB doesnt think we're special. What a bunch of cry babies. This is a great release. The fact that the deluxe edition takes the bootleg owning snob fanbase into consideration at all should be applauded. I'm happy with this.
