DSTYGE/Cool

If you know what that means you're C.O.O.L. with me. Something he did in the last few last years. Did you like that nod?

Yeah, I thought it was a respectful nod to MJ.

Prince had great respect for MJ. He locked himself in his living quarters for days after MJ died, really devastated by his passing. The rivalry was more media based than in real life. However, with two alpha males like that, there's going to be competition, and a little shade, but I do believe it was always in the spirit of the music game. It wasn't some east coast vs. west coast rap bullshit.

I wasn't surprised that he incorporated MJ songs into his set after that. In fact, I was glad he chose something so upbeat like "Don't Stop ('Til You Get Enough)". It works so well with "Mountains" on the 20Ten Tour. He's also done "ABC". That groove of DSTYGE is still so infectious to this day. It's one of my favorite piano riffs in a song.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I thought it was a C-O-O-L medley, and refreshing after years of Take Me With U / Raspberry Beret. A live mix of MJ / Prince was great to see and hear.
