does anyone else thinks it's amazing how prince used the same distinctive backing beat for both these songs? although it's not so much a backing beat in housequake, more the driving force of the song.

some may go meh but i think it's pretty cool.

I noticed that a while back and even posted, but I don't think a lot of people on here... hear the elements in the music. But take a listen to the structure of "Jughead". Seriously. There's a three part thing there.

As a note: that beat was pretty common back then. If you flip those four bars, and play the reverse rhythm, it's just as popular. I don't know the first song to use it, but it was in so many songs back then.
