When Doves Cry/Edge of Seventeen Does anyone else hear a similar vibe in these 2 songs.I first noticed it after reading that Stevie Nicks was influenced by LRC when writing her song Stand Back.I know they both mentions doves and have a pulsating beat. No more than any other big emotional wailing guitar song from the mid 80's. I mean, When Doves Cry stands out from the pack with its sparseness of sound. Edge of Seventeen has as much in common with those big Billy Idol tracks as it does Prince. [Edited 4/24/17 15:28pm] | |
