Maybe they felt she would be discreet, since she was a lawyer, and maybe they thought she would have connections or know of a treatment place that would be just as discreet.
and Maybe the personal relationship between Phaedra and P was such that THEY knew that getting HER involved would carry some punch Exactly. Because she did succeed in helping Prince get his master's back. His singular, perhaps most important, life's mission.....well, since his music career began, anyway. Wondered if any of the pills found were from the prescriptions that were written out for Prince by Dr S? |

well if we're going by that rationale, how many pills did Kirk J originally have with him? Or Meron? Or the chef? or the first responders?

It's a silly and pointless argument. There's literally no evidence or reason to believe that Andrew did anything malicious whatsoever and, as I mentioned before, I think it's kind of irresponsible to continue to insinuate this.

Yes, correct the warrant was for the contents left inside the backpack but no one knows who brought in the pill that killed Prince or how many pills were originally in that backpack.

It has nothing to do with WHERE he should get treatment. I think you've lost track of the question you were attempting to answer.
Why would an environmental and labor activist be called for someone who needs medical advice? Phaedra is NOT a doctor. She has NO medical background.

Exactly. The first thing a police officer is going to look at in a murder case is motive. Andrew had never met Prince before. They were called the day before (on the 20th) and he took the red eye flight to Minne to give Prince information about his dad's facility. Where is the motive? What would the motive be for Andrew to do something that could result in him going to prison, or possibly facing the death penalty for murder?

Probably because this "environmental and labor activist" was a lawyer who had a longstanding personal relationship with Prince. She was maybe someone whose general judgment Prince's associates -- and Prince himself -- trusted. Perhaps they knew she had connections with Dr K (she lives in the same area as his clinic).
-
It's possible that Prince was not cooprating with whatever his associates were trying to do in his final days and they were maybe at wit's end.

You're right, she's not. But she was Prince's manager for some period of time starting in 2014. So for whatever reason he trusted her for that role, so he must have respected her judgment.

I think a bunch of people have answered with the same theory -- that she was a trusted friend whose judgment Prince and his associates valued, and perhaps Prince had rejected his associates' attempts to reach out to other peopl -- but it sounds like that theory doesn't hold weight with you.

In all honesty, we don't know why people behaved the way they did. Hell, why didn't Prince highttail it from Moline straight to som in-patient clinic somewhere? That would have "made sense" -- but he didn't do that.

My whole point is this really: it is completely inappropriate and very ill-advised to call an environment and labor activist about a grave medical situation. We aren't just talking about someone with a cold, it's a serious situation. And because it is a serious situation, this scenario makes no sense at all. I feel pretty strongly that it is false information. I am not saying anyone here made it up, but it's just not believable at all given the circumstances.

She's the go between. She knew who to contact when they didn't. Her purpose was to connect them with someone to help Prince because they were out of options and for some reason, they we went to her. Why? Don't know without knowing who she knows and what experiences she's been in and how close she was to Prince. That's all I got.

But maybe they weren't calling her about a "grave medical situation". Maybe they were calling her to see if she knew of any facilities in her area that would be discreet and could help Prince out of whatever situation he was in. Obviously, the grave medical situation was something they felt they had more time to address and that it was fairly under control, given that no one stayed with him and that he was not immediately rushed to some local facility. I think that since this was Prince we are talking about, and since people were worried about him, they would word it as a "grave medical situation" to try to get things in place as quickly as possible

I agree with Disch - with the exception of the Tuesday night show and I think a visit to Electric Fetus, he wasn't seen. I might be wrong here, but that is what I recall reading. He was not in good shape and some people who were trying to reach him could not connect with him. Did he not want to speak with them, or were his employees keeping him away from others because of his state? It was also stated that "a doctor" was at PP that Saturday night and that P introduced "the doctor" and praised him and thanked him...SEVERAL TIMES. It was discussed in the last curiosities thread. We couldn't figure out why P being so private, made such a big deal of it. We have no clue who this doctor was, but speculated that it was possibly Dr. S. This information came from a person in attendance that night. |

Ah ha! I see. I agree....it was a very serious situation. But, given what we know about Prince and his "unwillingness" to accept advice, shall I say, I feel it makes perfect sense. Add to that her response when questioned about the "call". She didn't say "no, I didn't make the call" but rather, she deflected. For me, that speaks volumes. Btw....thanks for the fun! I guess to me, his inexperienced and overwhelmed associates calling various trusted people for help or advice doesn't strike me as that inexplicable. Ill-advised, perhaps (especially in retrospect) but not inexplicable. Especially not inexplicable when we remember that Prince was undoubtedly expressing his opionion to his people and maybe he flat-out refused to go along with other options they proposed.
