Those of you "not convinced" or saying NO WAY are assigning intent, and you can't do that. Not in judge Judy's courtroom and not in mine. [Edited 4/13/17 22:03pm]

Not sure why some fans bring up the age issue. It's completely irrelevent.I think it's a wonderful thing to see "older" musicians onstage, showing the youngsters how it's supposed to be done.Calling the Revolution members "old" is a cheap shot.Prince was old, too.Surrounding himself with young females onstage didn't actually make him any younger.

apparently u dont understand and didnt listen to the words coming out of prince mouth when he repeatedly said he didnt wanna go back he was all about living in the now and going forward.fact of the mattter is now prince is gone they can all come out and say prince spoke to me about this that or whatever he not here to confirm or deny nothing a person can say now.

Think this may have been on the cards not only with Revolution, didnt he reach out to a few before his death, Morris, Dez, etc..
"Prince don't know how many hits he got"

I think that if Prince really wanted to reunite the Revolution, he had THREE DECADES to do so. Thus, I'm not buying into all the wishful thinking.

Right the ageism thing is tired. The same people saying Prince was too old to sing Head or some other songs. I remember when Lionel Ritchie did a piece of Head a few years back at the Essence Music Festival people went crazy. And he was older than Prince.

Backstage at like one of the first 3EG shows, Prince himself banged his cane on the ground and said he "didn't have time for old people" LOL. (Which I thought was kinda funny) Anybody can come out of the woodworks now and say anything. All in all, I personally could've did without seeing it. Yes they could've played stuff past 86 but I doubt they would. The revolution could not do Housequake or Days of Wild or even SHHH...could you imagine? Scary just saying it lol

But hey everybody has their preferences. I've noticed a lot of fans are attached or obsessed with that period one way or another.

Exactly.Bruce Springsteen still tours with his E.Street Band and the members are the same age as him (or older) and it works just fine. Not sure why some Prince fans didn't want him onstage with people his own age,lol

I have never understood why fans don't talk about a reunion of the SOTT/Lovesexy band, which many think was his best. I love the NPG band that he had in 2007-2010 time frame with Cora or Blackwell on drums and Cassandra. The reunion I would like to see at this point is 3EG or the Black is the New Black band since those two were most recent for him. Most folks were introduced to Prince in 1984 so that is where they are. It just doesnt make sense that folks are pushing more for a reunion of his image band from the mid 80's over some of his more accomplished bands.

Strive said: What? Didn't they put a mic out for him at the Bobby Z benefit concert/Revolution reunion and he refused to go up? Putting the mic up was a passive aggressive act. They knew he didn't want to play with them, still they prentended it was a possibility. The wooh is on the one!

He did say that in an interview about a previous bass player (Rolling Stone 2014?) - but I had always assumed he was referring to Rhonda (which surprised me, because she's awesome) because he was putting together an all-girl group.

1 Bonnie Boyer is deceased 2 I would love for them to jam 3 Dr Fink is tied to the Revolution 4 Eric is tied to the Family (even though he does play with the Revolution) 5 Sheila E was the band drummer... 6 Sheila E Miko Levi were a part of Sheila E's band 7 Miko disappeared a long time ago, did not stay in contact with anyone, and hasn't seemed to reach out to anyone 8 Levi disappeared and resurface around 2013 when Sheila E 'revamped' her shows with Eddie M and started doing songs like Erotic City Olivers House Koo Koo the Belle of St Mark etc. He did about 2-3 shows with them, but nothing else that I know of 9 Cat and Sheila E (are not really on good wave lengths) 10 Atlanta Bliss retired from the business (someone needs to get him out for a bit though) if possible 11 I would love a Madhouse reconnection though

That is silly lol, because he said that when he was doing the whole 3rd Eye Girl thing, and not long after that he's doing stuff with older NPG members, had Bobby Z on drums for Purple Rain, I think(think) he had Larry Graham back etc . But doing Housequake is not that hard. It isn't that much different from DMSR Let's Work Lady Cab Driver Head. And if they can do a complex song like Life Can Be So Nice live, House quake is straight forward. Soft n Wet Sex Dancer 1999 17 Days . Shhhhh ie Do Me Baby, International Lover, the Beautiful Ones, It's Gonna Be Lonely, . I'm not recalling what Day of Wild sounds like . U do know these people are the same people that jammed precisely Prince's catalogue from 1978-1986 right?

I don't think Rhonda wanted to sign on any further I guess it was Brown Mark

Hey outside of the 2013 period when he surrounded himself with 20something year old women and I don't mean just 3rd Eye girl
Even Prince musical focus was mostly on 'the classics' Prince's classics will forever be 1978-1988
the Gold Experience was never nor could it ever be the new purple (rain)
C the CD in his hand?
