Well he keeps saying a lot of this is still upsetting to him so give him sometime maybe he will say something later. I firmly believe there is more to the Mayte/Prince story them we are being told and it will all come out one day. | |

Skip it. It's the absolute worst Prince podcast. Tried listening a couple of times but it's just too cringeworthy. The Prince Podcast is the one people should suscribe to. | |

I have always wondered why there was never a link on this site to Funkenberry's site or podcast. It's not like they were competing with each other. He always got the news first, even back in the day. Are orgers jealous of him? I don't get it. Out of all the fans, he was closest to Prince and could probably write the best book. | |

I get the guy has serious health issues so I definitely feel bad about that and wish him well but he needs to stop with this whole weight of the world on his shoulders re: Prince & Prince fans. And the constant I won't say something or go into details because it will hurt the fans and I need to protect them BS. If there are things he doesn't want to talk about or he feels he can't talk about it then he should say nothing at all. Paisley Park is in your heart

I agree rogifan. This podcast was clickbait. Nobody had read the book.
One of many takeaways from Mayte's book - she lifted a corner of the purple curtain with love and respect and the world did not end. As a 30+ year supporter, I'll always listen to his music, will probably buy new releases, but I'll be damned to support this current paisley machine who thinks we should all shut up, sit down, and open our wallets.
The truth can't hurt him anymore, but it could help others ALOT. | |

My comments weren't about the book. This isn't the first time Funkenberry's thrown something out there but declined to elaborate because of some protecting the fans or whoever BS line. The book has just come out so I doubt he would have had time to read it. I also love how so many people think we should run out and buy the book to support her (LOL)
Are people who are supporting her with their wallets not helping her ride the Paisley machine to the bank as well? She tell us the fans very little we did not already know and somethings we did not need to know while telling nothing about herself.
What truth came out of her book that will help anyone? Even the money from her book is not going to research for the Phieffer's but to help dogs and cats which I believe there is a Animal control/humane society that is capable without Mayte's assistance. | |

Why don't you tell us how you spend your hard earned money. It's nobody's business how she distributes her income. SHE gets to decide what causes to support. Please educate yourself. The following information was pulled from the Humane Society website: http://www.humanesociety....oogle.com/ And this is what they have to say regarding their ability to save the dogs and cats, as I have said before, we humans tend to so thoughtlessly discard: "Of the 3 million cats and dogs euthanized in shelters each year, approximately 2.4 million (80%) are healthy and treatable and could have been adopted into new homes." This data is astounding and they apparently DO need Mayte's assistance. I have had my rescue for 8 years. She is the highlight of my day and is unquestionably devoted to me. I do find it curious that people complain about the Paisley money machine when there doesn't seem to be a shortage of people buying Mayte's book. Mayte knows the majority of book sales are coming from Prince fans. I don't think the release date of this book was an accident. Is Mayte not also riding the money machine after his death? I doubt whatever coins she makes from this book is going to make much of an impact and she could have just as well picked one of the charities Prince supported but she does not know what those are because he was not ringing her phone. | |
