Prince Always told us cryptically about future
I remember in March of 1985...a week after seeing my first Prince & the Revolution concert, he ended the Purple Rain Tour....Radio station DJs were having a field day reporting the fact that Prince had lost his mind and announced that he was retiring from performing any future concerts. The statement released by his PR firm was : "Prince is looking for the ladder and sometimes it snows in April." Little did they know that he already had his next two albums completed and that was what he was referencing.
Fast forward to 2015.....The artwork on his Twitter account depicts four different artist mock-ups of him. Two from Third Eye Girl era, One from the Lovesexy era and the the last one from Purple Rain. With all these interviews coming out, we know there were plans to reunite the Revolution and release Purple Rain remaster....explaining the last image in the series. The first two images were explained by Hit & Run I & II. The third Lovesexy image is still somewhat a mystery, however I'm sure there was a plan.
In 2015 he had the road map drawn for his next four albums ......cryptic indeed, however simply amazing. RIP PRINCE (The genius).

The most cryptic was his eternal phase avatar.

So what explains this... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

There is no explanation of that avatar, or the lyrics to sometimes it snows in april and much of what Prince did. He had a gift that came from god. He was able to channel his gift, music and message in ways that I don't even think he understood.
That last avatar is chilling.
The original poster uses the word cryptic. I think the correct word is prophetic.

I want to address something that's never really brought up. The cryptic nature of album artwork. I know the sometimes "occult" slant is brought up, but what about his albums? Same goes for those avatars. DID PRINCE DRAW/CREATE THOSE AVATARS, if he only had the conception WHO DID THE ARTWORK? AOA as well ♫"Trollin, Trolling! We could have fun just trollin'!"♫
