The Human Genome and God Talk When Prince talked to Tavis about how the rights of the creator of music will eventually devolve into a conversation about the human genome and DNA it went over my head at the time and over the head of Tavis. Upon reflection, he is talking about companies selling the DNA of individuals in the future. Things like people designing babies with someone elses DNA without permission. Interesting concept. Prince was always 50 years ahead of the rest of us. He was a genius beyond music. https://youtu.be/MiSjJZKJqx0

We don't even know if the bloke Christ existed. Prince was really good with music, it consumed his brain. Unfortunately that didn't leave much room for critical thinking when it came to all the crank bullshit like religions and chem trails and all the mystical rubbish he used to bang on about. I think that what he was stating is that God owns the human DNA and the genome, that this is God's creation. He owns the masters. I think he is saying that in the future man will try to claim ownership of the human DNA and genome, will try to claim creatorship of those things. That it is better now, to discuss these things with music, before we get to the point that we are discussing who owns God's creation.

Sounds like we agree on what he was saying. Also sounds like we disagree on the validity of his statement. So when you and others mock this you are mocking his words and his views. That is all good. Everyone is entitled to disagree with Prince. Just don't mock those of us who do agree with him and do not cringe when he speaks his beliefs. There is a Kiss and Cream contingent of Prince fans and I am cool with those folks. There is also a contingent of us who dig 1+1+1 = 3 as more than a song with a funky beat. That song changed my life and marriage. There is a theocratic order for many of us and that song helped open our eyes to it. think the interview was brilliant. And yes, they are trying to make designer babies now. [Edited 3/18/17 9:43am]

. I'm with ya on this. He got the chemtrails garbage from Dick Gregory (who also claimed after 4/21 that P had been murdered, which makes as much sense as Aretha saying he died form Zika virus). . I've mentioned previously that P needed a good education in skeptical thinking, to support wheat from chaff, so to speak. He'd believe anyone who he perceived as an "expert" even if their ideas clashed with reality. Poor little mixmaster of a brain, at times, it seemed. Like chemtrails. If he'd ever have looked out the windows of one of the jets he flew in, he'd see the condensation trails (contrails) and know they weren't spraying. But Dick Gregory said it was true, Dick Gregory was an "expert" to him, so he absorbed it. Dick Gregory probably got it from Alex Jones, purveyor of "it's all a conspiracy". . Once he said that, I'm hoping someone sat him down and explained what contrails really are (and I think they may have, or he may have figured it out, because he never mentioned it again). . His God was a vengeful one, punishing him...and it didn't help that Uncle LG pounded more of that fear into him. I was glad to see him loosen up on it all, after the "seven year mark" that Questlove talked about. (It WAS Q, wasn't it, who said that he was exposed to P's "teachings" when he was new to his JW faith and that it was part of a seven-year period that people go through.) .

He did get all of his ideas about God being vengeful from LG. He was raised a a Seven Day Adventist JW are an offshoot of SDA so it is not weird that he went in that direction. SDA are also vegetarians. I also do not know any Christian religion that do not teach that God is vengeful.

We saw low chemtrails all the time in our neighborhood and people were acting crazy just as Prince described. I am not saying it is a fact, but many other people that grew up in these types of neighborhood experienced similar things. Lead exposure is another instance in these neighborhoods and that is real and verified. Dont throw the baby out with the bathwater. Prince was making a bigger point about government sponsored poisoning of minorities and that is very real. People like to pick a straw because it makes them feel better about the real problem.

Recently, I was about to order one of those ancestry DNA tests, but then I read the terms of agreement and decided not to go through with it. I found that once you submit your DNA they store your sample for as long as they think that it will be usable. They will keep a record of your results in a DNA database. Upon further research, I've found that there have been cases where DNA from a person who participated in this ancestry service was used by law enforcement to tie that individual to a relative who had committed a crime. In other words, if your criminal family member commits a crime and they are able to get his DNA, but can't find the criminal relative, the police will pay you a visit to help locate this relative because they found a match in a DNA database. This is really scary. Perhaps Prince had read the fine print on an ancestry website also.

You saw CONTRAILS in Dayton, Ohio because you lived near Wright-Patterson AFB. As a DoD manager with high security clearance, I can assure you we were not spreading you. Lead paint affected everyone. The water in Flint is not just poisoning black residents. The atomic tests of the 1950s affected those of us in Utah and Nevada. . This is why we need to find science and education, so these things do not happen to anyone. Again. Ever. But the current administration is doing just the opposite. . No one said DoD was doing it. Lead paint is not affecting everyone the same. It impacts low income neighborhoods a lot more. Flint has impacted the disadvantaged. People want to criticize Prince about his belief in chemtrails but these same people refuse to believe the truth about the government and big business tagetting minorities and the poor by poisoning them, experimenting on them and comtaminating them. Go check where your local landfills are. Prince was not far off. He was closer to the truth than those who deny the above.
