Can we hope for an updated final Vault book by Per Nilsen.

I don't have the existing version with no hope of finding one it would seem. I have Days of Wild but with 13 years of prolific work uncovered, a difinitive edition would be incredible.

No, he's stated that he's done with it.

that's good, he ain't trying to cash in, but, people do change their minds all the damned time. My mentor, bruce lee's best friend never made money on his legacy, never wrote books, never gave seminars UNTIL....he needed money, then all of the sudden, he had letters from bruce (which he always told me he burned) and he had a clothing article from game of death which he sold for 10 grand. money makes people change their minds. also, dave marsh, bruce springsteen biographer swore he was done writing on springsteen, since that time, he's done a rehash of the bios, putting two that he did together and then a tour book.

Where does this ludicrous idea come from that writing a book about Prince results in great riches?

Well, unfortunately for Dave Marsh the last word on Springsteen is his own autobiography.

my point was that dave swore off ever writing about him again but did it anyway. but you are correct, bruce's bio kills dave's and is better in every way conceivable.

Well if Nilsen can't do it, maybe some known Princemaniac like Dr Funkenberry or Matt Thorne could step in and finish it off. That would be a real treat, a bookend tothe man and his career.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Yes, let's have some amateur gossip blogger do it. Seriously?

Look, Nilsen et al (because there was a whole team involved) relied on years of research, some of which is now outdated. So whoever takes on this job needs to have access to all that research and needs to re-check it, plus needs to invest a lot of time and effort into finding info about the years 2000-2016. Unless you've got a publisher willing to invest a significant amount of money, that isn't going to happen.
