Josh Homme's cover of It on Dessert Sessions is pretty lovely.

Mitch Ryder doing "When You Were Mine" is cool-ish. Also, didn't Warren Zevon or someone do a version of "Raspberry Beret"? Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I don't see anyone else here posting videos, so I'll just display the Youtube link. A Norwegian band nails "Head" in a 2016 trubute concert!

Josh Homme doing "It" sounds like a slinky combo. I think it would be interesting to see how others could do that song, too. "It" is such an open canvas of a tune.

Never was into Simple Minds, but this interpretation is quite good.
. Tori Amos did some great intrepretation with Little Red Corvette

I think is a beautiful thing...as coldly electronic and dispassionately passionate as the original.

I really like Cyndi Lauper's version of When You were Mine.

This is sheer ectasy! Even Prince bowed down to her.
Prince was more than a musical legend – he was a friend.
That’s how singer Meli’sa Morgan knew him. She became acquainted with him in 1986 when he allowed her to cover his song “Do Me, Baby.” His original version, released four years earlier, never charted but hers shot to No. 1 as a Billboard R&B single. After recording it, she was in Los Angeles for a Lionel Richie concert, which Prince was also attending, and he requested to meet Morgan and a friendship was born.

Have you heard Corrinne Bailey's version of "I Wanna Be Your Lover?" Her version is more jazz like and sounds great. But however, I will always prefer Prince's version better!

Kevin and Bethany Paige did an amazing tribute to Prince that was posted on YouTube. Someone also had posted here on the org about it. Unfortunately, it is no longer available on YT. I have never heard anyone else do any of Prince's music as well as they did. I was completely in awe and it's the only tribute that I've felt was worthy. Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end

Sorry I missed that....
I like this though...
STIJN Dives DEEP into Princes Catalogue and although its programmed and all electronic THIS Artist manages to add his OWN Special Flavour without diluting the original...
I have played this a few times over
Apparently he is doing anohter on June 7

I'm sure he had an opinion .... Check this thread for example, and especially the posts of christerfalck, as he made that great release possible: http://prince.org/msg/7/2...sg_5810055
