Missing my Prince.

You know..I thought I would be sad....and I did cry his Morning...

but the tears came from a different space...

As the latest tributes and articles commemorating his LIFE started flooding the webworld, Ive seen that more and more people are getting Turned on to His Genius, his humanity, his kindness, His generosity, his singularity, His MAD ARSED Dance skills, his virtuosity.

People who REALLY KNEW him...Not the Purple Rain Prince that he was..

but the PRiNCE OF NOW who he is..

These people are coming forward..Shelby, and Kim for example....

They speak of whohe had become..

and it such a relief that when I cry Now..I am at PEACE...

The whole world will KNOW him

his music is never going to die

He is reshaping our planet

The way we live our lives

He is making People aware of just HOW Great we can be if we Trust in God and WOrk hard...

He is still teaching and Mentoring

He is still raining his LOVE for HUMANITY upon us all

He truly has etched himself into space and time

Once you get turned on to the Purple Life..

He starts to take a hold of your heart

and thats where the REAL Magic starts...

YOU begin to re think your OWN relationship with GOD

Your relationship with other People

you take repsonsability and realise that you are living HALF a life....

and once you do that...

you really start to Understand that NOT having Love 4 ONEANOTHER

is at the CORE of everything that is WRONG in this world....

Even Christians Fight amongst each other.....I have contemplated the Bible a LOT since Prince ascended...There is so much contradiction..

Recently I reread it

WHen I came across John 13:34-35 I realised that

Its so simple...

If you want to KNOW who truly follows the Christ..

forget what Religious denomination they asemble under..

If they are good to each other and Loving..then they are Followers of The Christ...

Jesus gave us a very Clear Guideline in that...

Prince told us again..In his WORDS..his WAY..In time for the New Millenium

Thinking of each and everyone of you today... As I was warming up my car this morning, I sat for a few seconds, in silence, said a prayer and selected the song I wanted to hear...Purple Rain. This song, for some reason, gets me every single time. As the tears started to flow, my thoughts drifted back to Prince. This past year has been hard but I have found comfort on this site, this thread specifically. You all have been the friends I needed because no one in my life understands how I could grieve for someone I never knew. They don't get it, they find it odd and tense up when I mention anything, so I just hold it in and keep my feelings to myself. So as I continue this day, my thoughts will not only be on Prince but each and every one of you as well. Take care

It's a bittersweet day 2 day. We lost him 1 year ago, but he will live 4ever in his music. I choose 2 celebrate him and his legacy today.

Every day that has gone by in the past year, he has been in my thoughts. Almost every day in the past year, I have played his music.

I woke up 2 "Let's Go Crazy," like I have 4 the past few months. I love starting my day hearing "Dearly beloved, we r gathered here today 2 get through this thing called life." (My cat knows those words mean breakfast is coming soon.)

I wore a purple shirt. (I wear purple frequently...it's my favourite color, and that has nothing 2 do with Prince.)

I wore my necklace, including 2 work. (I never wear necklaces because I teach young children who have autism.)

I enjoyed the tributes to Prince on the Tom Joyner Morning Show while driving 2 work.

I listened 2 "Diamonds and Pearls." I listened 2 "The Beautiful Ones." Those are my 2 favourite Prince songs.

I wore my purple apron at work, just as I do every day.

I played "Starfish and Coffee" as the transition song in my classroom all week. (I've played it during numerous weeks this school year.)

I'm watching "Purple Rain" at the moment.

.

Today was a pretty normal day, for the most part...a little more somber. Nonetheless, I choose 2 celebrate his life and the legacy of his great music.

Rest in peace, Prince. Thank u 4 your music. Rest in peace with your son.

At the moment, I am watching Purple Rain with Shy. I tried 2 get her 2 wear my love symbol necklace 4 a photo, but she wasn't feelin' that. Oh well. (Pardon the mess. It's Friday and I'm a little worn out from the week.)
